Far out in the uncharted backwaters of the unfashionable end of the Western spiral arm of the galaxy lies a small unregarded green dot... Outer left-field. Mostly harmless.

What’s that you say? Liz has a new book out which even the Telegraph is saying is even more unhinged than the last one? Wonderful, I’ll post this then.

I love the music on 'Round Midnight and I'll take Soweto Kinch and most of his dep's as guides (even some of the glo'al* stoppists) but is there a more patronising, smug voice than Jumoké Fashola's? I'm sure (well, hope) it's unintentional, but it's quite a hurdle. *glottal stoppists, #KnowWhatIMean

BBC Radio 3 'Round Midnight Broadcaster, jazz singer and actor Jumoké Fashola is sitting in for Soweto Kinch this week, and tonight she welcomes her Flowers guest, cellist and singer Ayanna Witter-Johnson.

Couldn't resist the motherlode tonight, and it still works brilliantly, taking all that is fabulous from the originals while making all the nonsense reverberate as the very highest comedy. A work of genius. #YoungFrankenstein #WhaleOfATime

Baffled by how this debate on here spirals between "Brits must be morally punished" and "Britain will get special treatment because reasons". EU membership is a straightforward structural problem, not a moral one. If the Brits accept trade-offs they get in, if they won't they don't

Jonn Elledge@jonnelledge.bsky.social

Yes. I think there are very good reasons for Europe not to want Britain back in, and perhaps they will prevail. But many of the people who post about it On Here seems to think "the need for a morality play in which Britain is punished for its perfidy" is one of those reasons, and no, this is silly.

Serbia finally got rid of Vučić, just like Hungary got rid of Orbán a few months ago. It's always encouraging to see, especially as both were supported by both the Kremlin and the White House, and still lost pathetically

Sorry you missed it. Superb, shattering performances by 6 singers, the CHROMA Ensemble conducted by Naomi Woo and, especially, the two percussionists charged with illuminating the marvelously projected dialogue. Sarah Kane's 4.48 Psychosis remains a masterwork, whatever the medium. #ROH
