Ah, yes, the famously liberal… [checks notes]… Cato Institute?! [rechecks notes to make sure I'm not having a stroke]… Yep. The Cato Institute is pushing back on Trump's bullshit voter fraud claims.
If you saw that curious Census Bureau paper earlier this month claiming to have found some unlawful noncitizen voting, my colleague Stephen Richer offers an annihilating analysis of it here: the methodologically flimsy 7-pager is "a professional embarrassment," the work of outside hands, or both.

Naked authoritarian fascism. Love and support to the entire team at @jimmykimmellive.bsky.social, who *will* come out the other side of this horrendous abuse of power. Disgusted to see ABC caving to this glaringly illegal and unconstitutional threat from Brendan Carr.
Extraordinarily corrupt. I watched FCC chair Brendan Carr's full interview on Hannity. Carr basically said straight out that coverage of Trump he deems overly hostile can be decreed contrary to the "public interest," and thus grounds for yanking licenses: newrepublic.com/article/2006...

After years of complaining about cancel culture, the current administration has taken it to a new and dangerous level by routinely threatening regulatory action against media companies unless they muzzle or fire reporters and commentators it doesn’t like.
