Captured Rocco in 3D using an iPhone. Aligned on device in 5 seconds and processed through Brush - the most accessible way to create 3D splats! Alignment can use some work, but Brush did a great job on the fur. Great work @arthurperpixel.bsky.social !

I've now published my blog post, "I want a good parallel computer." raphlinus.github.io/gpu/2025/03/... . Thanks much to all the feedback on the draft, I'd like to think I've clarified some things that might have been confusing.
Probably the best Brush (github.com/ArthurBrusse...) reconstruction I've seen so far, many thanks to @gradeeterna.bsky.social!! www.youtube.com/watch?v=yGl0... Try it interactively here arthurbrussee.github.io/brush-demo/?... if you'd like to melt your GPU a bit ;)

First If you haven’t seen it, Brush does 3D reconstruction using gaussian splatting. Unlike alternatives it runs on all platforms, mobile phones, or straight in a browser (arthurbrussee.github.io/brush-demo). The latter is especially nice as it means you can also use it as a web viewer.
Speaking of the web version, you can now simple add ?url=XXX&zen=true to stream in a splat from wherever you host it, and turn Brush into a fullscreen viewer. Eg. try the infamous reference ‘Garden’ scene arthurbrussee.github.io/brush-demo/?...

We just dropped CAT4D, text to dynamic 3D models that you can render in real time. Not posting a video because Bluesky is garbage in this respect; go straight to the real time viewer on a desktop browser and look around. The cat kneading dough is my favorite. cat-4d.github.io

This project blew my mind! It looks just as good as 3DGS but it has no per-scene optimization or reconstruction. Every frame is generated *from scratch* and it nevertheless runs in real-time. quark-3d.github.io
