I AM READY TO START BITING FINGERS

Cora Spare Parts@asparecora.bsky.social

I am not a delicate flower that needs careful attention, I am an irascible old parrot who wants you to pull the blanket back over the cage I am not here to perform for you even though you've got me trapped you fucks.

One of the sillier bits of the old Star Wars EU was that some of the Death Star designers were allowed to believe it was for cracking dead planets for mining or blowing up rogue planetoids. Welp. Feels a lot less silly now. I owe Kevin J. Anderson one apology. But only one.

This post is unavailable.

Still sometimes strikes me as kinda wild that one of the Billy Joel songs I listened to most often as a kid (mostly because that was on the first tape I found loose and didn't get reclaimed) was about phone sex. Oh, he was just putting that out there, okay.

I know absolutely nothing about Lula except that i saw someone share a clip on insta of him in celebration kissing a trans woman politician on the cheek and oh my god is that a radical act for a politician in 2026 so lets fucking go

Hello yes happy Ace Week aka probably one of the three times a year I think about being it at all I didn't really do anything, so here's some art of my ace OC Vesper again

Dither for literal weeks on making appointments. Finally go look tonight and find convenient times for everything going along with my normal schedule inside of fifteen minutes. Lesson learned, but discarded by the next time I have to do this again.

Just finished listening to the audiobook of the third and final Saevus Corax book. K.J. Parker author, Ben Onwukwe performing. Some minor quibbles and complaints that are largely a matter of taste and should not stop anyone interested from giving them a listen because Onwukwe is AMAZING.

Setting the “trans rights movement” back a decade would actually be an improvement tbh

Florid Man@humintel.bsky.social

You have that right. You simply don't have the right to dictate how others feel. And by attempting to do so, you're setting the movement back a decade. That is also well within your purview. I'll always support human rights for any community equally. Nobody is special.

Critical fumble in the middle of a peasant railgun as the DC to actually handle it at that speed is ridiculously high and thus obliterating the entire latter half of the railgun.

Okay. So "Sweet Silver Blues" (the first Garrett, P.I. novel by Glen Cook) proved really good support-reading for running an Eberron game, but also GODDAMN is Garrett really casually misogynistic. Like, be 900% aware of that if you pick those up in this day and age. Whoof.

Melancholic, bittersweet, kinda heavy. Very familiar to the "queer in a shitty small town" feeling. Give it a go.

My PC-98 inspired yuri visual novel "if you stay" is OUT NOW! It is available for free on Steam and itch.io (Windows, Mac, and Linux). Links below!

Games that run well are good, but have you ever had a moment where there are so many enemies the game just starts to chug and killing swathes of them restores life to how it plays? God that feels fucking amazing.

Underrecognized bit of Persona 1 since it comes so very late in the game, but it turns out it had the "everyone is 12 years old" theory of modern politics and power pegged 30 years ago with its main villain's thinking and motivations.

For a while everyone you encounter has been brainwashed into spouting his "the world and people suck" whining and when they come out of it, they're mostly just embarrassed that they sounded like an angsty middle-schooler.

When I say "gross" I mean nasty biotech in the form of semi-ambulatory artificial organs that look kinda like giant worms and centipedes, and by "dark" I mean SA both metaphorical (the violation of such tech unwanted) and literal.

I have the kind of brainworms where I think "oh I hear the Styx games are pretty good if slightly janky fantasy stealth games" and immediately move on to, "and obviously I need to play Of Orcs and Men, a RTWP RPG, first because that's where Styx first appeared."

Also, since my mind is scattering all over the place tonight, I tried a facial hair-removal cream (Nair brand, because that's all the store had) and it did fuck-all except irritate my skin so I guess that's off the table.
