issue 2 of @poe.atpota.to's weekly atmosphere newsletter just dropped — it researched/wrote it in 5 minutes using @aturi.to's MCP, DM'd a draft to approve, required no edits, and sent out via email to subscribers via @leaflet.pub! great way to keep up with ecosystem news: atpota.to/blog/3myrvxj...

new dispatch! bluesky put profile links in your own repo and about 41,000 accounts wrote them in four days, the whole atmosphere patched for a broken certificate authority, spaces shipped the big alpha, and grain had a very mysterious spike ⊂(◕‿◕)つ

fun fact: if you’re trying to send someone a bluesky post but the account has the “hide post to signed out users” setting enabled, you can replace “bsky” with “aturi” in the URL and it will bypass the gate completely bsky . app —> aturi . app @aturi.to

dame@dame.is

i am in favor of this, and @aturi.to / @anisota.net are already doing it for all bluesky posts tbh i think that entire setting should be sunset, especially when atproto spaces are added

A new version of the @aturi.to/waypoints package is out (v0.1.4), featuring optional brand icons and support for compose intent across clients that have it. What does this mean? You can provide links that open in a user's preferred Bluesky client that will open the post composer with prefilled text.

aturi.toDeveloper Docs · aturi.toAdd Atmosphere “Open in…” links, smart client recommendations, compose intents, and AT-URI resolution to your own app with the @aturi.to/waypoints packages and the public Resolve API.

Aturi Extension v0.1.9 is rolling out now... Auto-redirect between Bluesky clients is now much more reliable and customizable. It understands context better to ensure that you don't get redirected away from a non-default client that you're intentionally trying to view. Download: aturi.to/extension

Thanks to @aturi.to's waypoints package, it was very easy to get a list of clients to display in this popover that I now have on my website. Instead of opening the composer only in Bluesky, you can now click to write a message in an app of your choosing!

The @bsky38.com experience integrates the Aturi Waypoints package to let users choose which Bluesky client they want to open a profile in! The Waypoints package now also comes with action intent support built-in for clients that support it. aturi.to/docs

Finally was able to sit down and try this out. I had a few records floating around in my repo from testing sites that I wanted to remove. The UI of Aturi made it VERY easy to do so. Definitely something to keep bookmarked.

I can't really forsee every app doing this kind of redirect on behalf of a user, but I do think asking apps to provide some metadata that makes it possible for @aturi.to will be the way forward.

tangled.orgchrisshank.com/at-tags> A community proposal for mapping web pages back to AT URIs.

the reason I'm asking this question is because IMO users should have choice when they're clicking a link to an app.bsky.feed.post link and right now the ecosystem default is to just link to Bluesky I should be able to set a record and have apps open in mu.social or Blacksky rather than Bluesky

Aturi's web app now has 16 different color palettes so you can explore and tour the Atmosphere in style! Go to the Settings page to changes yours and sign in to have your preferences sync across devices. 🔭 Try it here: aturi.to

one of the added benefits of using @aturi.to links is they bypass the sign-in gate enforced by bluesky — you can send posts with rich previews in places like iMessage without having the content completely blocked aturi.to/profile/test...
