Alex Chacón

Hi #PortfolioDay I'm Alex, i do concept art for games but my heart lies in illustration and traditional media, particularly ink! I love nature, fantasy and symbolism, and it usually shows on my work. I'm open for commercial & private commissions, let's talk 🙌 contact@alexanderchacon.com

my book arrived!! 50 pages of sketches, plein air paintings and illustration processes by yours truly, debuting at lightbox expo

Just saw Hoppers, and damn, i wanted to like it so bad, it was so funny and the art so beautiful but it came out so WEAK with that "use the proper channels, fight for the environment this way, you can convince the worst criminal through dialogue, violence is not the way" freaking undertone

artist @michaeldeforge.bsky.social is very good at clearly and effectively communicating what the fight is and how we're going to win check this shit out if u don't know mdf yet

Dear God, please don't let me have anxiety any more. I promise I'll be good.

I dress basically the same way every day, you know, the classic black plain shirt and green pants combo, and the only reason I'd like to experiment and try different clothing options would be to make those cool OOTD drawings of themselves some artists do

I'm back in Canada and in search of full-time/freelance job opportunities! I have 7+ years of experience designing for animation, games and illustrating for books and editorials. Thanks for looking! ashlenasharma.com ashlenasharmaart@gmail Any leads or shares are much appreciated!✨ #lookingforwork

The older I get the more I act like my dad, feels weird, but nice, it feels like he's close 😌 my dad is alive btw, I read the whole thing out loud and and it sounds like he's not so putting the disclaimer haha

Came to my attention there's a scammer account impersonating mine, seems to be resolved now or at least i can't find it anymore on my end but just in case my username and url is "avantaron" with an "o", not a "0". Stay safe out there, don't doom scroll too much and remember to drink water! 🙌

Yesterday was the 50th anniversary of Jaws 🩸🦈I made a list to score, with 13 levels of stereotypes about sharks, I hope it is useful for those who want to create works beyond the fear ingrained by Jaws and seek new creative representations of sharks. #shark #jaws #jaws50thanniversary #jaws50

The plan was to steadily draw them as they grow up but that idea crumbled due to the puppies waking up at 2:00 am every night and so I couldn't either sleep well for a while or be a moderately functioning human being during the day. Here's a recent one tho!

It makes me genuinely emotional that animals like to play, that play is kind of inherent to life.

Cow sketchbook filled ✔️ (misleading, there's not a single cow sketch in it I'm afraid), it is now Tiger sketchbook time to shine 🐅 (súper cool sticker by @formyths.bsky.social )

obligatory ‘it’s my birthday so you gotta share my work’ 🫶

Just found out today that I forgot to add this to my shop. Lmao

Thinking about my guatemalan music teacher back in school and how cool it was of him to write the date both in the normal western way AND in mayan. That detail always stuck with me, awesome teaching. I sucked at music tho but that's on me and unrelated.

If you see this, post your painting/drawing of a dragon 🐲

For a Secret Santa in a discord server, i got a person that likes Undertale, and so, i did one of the cool doggie designs from the game, i haven't played it but looks nice and has a bunch of dogs, promising stuff

Sometimes resistance is simply continuing to do the work that you were already doing which aligns with your values.

Just learned there's this hashtag #pigeonsky ,what a lovely corner of the internet 🙂‍↕️✨

We're going to make it through this 🩷💙 Let's turn our fear and rage into community action.
