It is a uniquely cool experience to get steam reviews for this reason. I read every single one, it's so encouraging and uplifting to see how folks experience the game Tell artists you like their work and what you like about it!

I cannot overstate the power of sharing and gushing about art you like. it is *everything*

Vholume is one of the most zen games I've played in a while. Sometimes all you need for a great game is to make it fun to move around and give me a cool environment to do it in #indiegame #gaming

Hate that I get nervous about using em dashes when I write now since it became such a ubiquitous "AI tell". It's such a fun, versatile bit of punctuation! The machines can pry them from my cold dead hands To be clear—and I can't stress this enough—I have not and will never use any genAI in my work

It's even worse than you think from the headline, their lawyers are genuinely trying to make the toddler level argument "obviously you're not buying to *own* the game, if you did we'd only be able to sell it to one person!" as if that's what anyone meant by owning their games

Sony says "reasonable consumers" know they don’t own the digital PlayStation games they buy. It argues that it's "not plausible" to suggest that when they buy a digital game they actually believe they're "obtaining ownership" of it. www.videogameschronicle.com/news/sony-sa...

Never had a beloved childhood game so overtly dug out of its grave just to be used for a quick cash grab as this AI-riddled embarrassment of a Heroes of Might and Magic 3 remake that was just announced 🫩

I'm a big whiteboard thinker when I work! Been cleaning up the office a bit and here's my marker graveyard from Once Glorious Artahk's development Mostly spent doodling out puzzles and level layouts

Some old pics I have from brainstorming, an ancient concept for the starting zone from the first year of development and plotting out one of the Plaza puzzles. My handwriting is unfortunately abysmal lol

The first chapter of a new story expanding on the world of Artahk is now available over on Discord! "In a cruel world shaped beneath a starless sky, a woman makes a pact with the Spirit of Vengeance to hunt down those that have wronged her." The game is also 20% off now to celebrate!

Been having a lot of fun with the game TetherGeist! Some of the quick thinking it demands is frying my brain a little (so glad to be past the jellyfish heavy level), but there's a lot of interesting platforming gimmicks and the art is fantastic!

One of my favorite moments so far is when I figured out that you can use the little snap from trying to use an ability with no flowers to extend jumps and get a little extra height. I don't think it's actually ever been necessary, but still feels cool to take advantage of

Never realized just how bad discovery on Steam really is until trying to start a plan to play one new indie game per week. Genuinely could not get the "discovery queue" to show me anything but ftp games, and had to dig to get to a general list of new releases rather than only already popular ones

My stance on piracy has remained consistent over my entire career: I'd prefer if you paid money for my games, but if that's not going to happen for whatever reason, I'd rather you pirate one of my games vs never playing it.

piracy is the only extant form of media preservation that exists in games right now, you might find it morally reprehensible but there is literally no other institution that will keep games alive in 25, 50 years' time

To everyone who has ever worked on Destiny: You made something beautiful and wonderful, filled with hope and stories. I cherish it and will be forever grateful that I got the chance to experience it. Thank you. #destiny2

I'm loving the new Destiny update, but it's so bittersweet that this is the refresh the game has needed for years, yet they were only able to do it right at the very end alongside it's abrupt death

Some of it only ever would have worked in this context the way Destiny 2 was run, to be fair. The checklist nature of a lot of it's systems is suddenly a lot more appealing now that there aren't time limits and the checklist isn't constantly expanding

You are up to date.
