The instinct to share something personal about Pac, but the amount of respect, care and commitment he had to wrestling and to being a professional is a line I can't bear to cross - but let that remind you just how good he was.
Forever loved, forever respected. What a fucking Bastard.
PAC leaving WWE when there was no guarantee he'd ever be let out of his contract and would just have to go get a regular job is one of the coolest things a wrestler has ever done on the "business" side of the "wrestling business" that we hear about all the time.
PAC was such a good wrestler that it was notable he had an average match in his second ROH match in the US. The closest to a bad PAC match I can remember. One of the best of this era.
Pac vs Orange Cassidy from Feb. 2020. One of my favorite "comedy matches" ever and a real bright spot to continually look back on once that year took a turn. youtu.be/7W63y_mCcg0
I have never heard a Geese song, so this is not a critique of them, and I can’t place any moral judgment on surreptitiously astro-turfing a fan base via tiktok sock puppet accounts creating ubiquity and a sense of inevitability that achieve their stated goal…
I don't know that I would have picked him first in the "Artists I would be most bummed out to discover love AI" draft just for the sheer improbability of it, but JESUS CHRIST, STEVEN SODERBERGH?? You already make three movies a year!!
DEEP THROAT: [takes a drag off cigarette] Just because Nixon's gone, doesn't mean the taping system is gone too. [hits play on tape]
GERALD FORD: [singing] Mama's little baby loves shortenin', shortenin-' *click*
DT: It just goes on like that
WOODWARD: He has a lovely voice.
hi I wrote about Chappell Roan, public orgies of misogyny, and the trap of ignoring ‘celebrity news’ when misogynist harassment campaigns affect all women. None of the outrage slop we’ve seen is about Chappell's behavior—it's just a bunch of misogynists are justifying what they already wanted to do
Absolutely horrific.
Canada’s massive border bill, C12, has been adopted after third reading at Senate.
C-12 will become the country's largest machinery of deportation: deporting refugees without hearings, retroactive bars, and mass status cancellation.
A mirror of anti-migrant ICE violence.

You'd think TK, a guy whose audience pops for Ben Mankiewicz, would have thought better than to schedule Revolution against The Oscars, eh? #AEWDynamite 🤼
Breaking News: The U.S. was responsible for a missile strike on an Iranian elementary school, an ongoing military investigation found. The inquiry said the strike — which Iranian officials said killed at least 175 people, most of them children — was the result of a targeting mistake.
Here is a hot take I've been working on: AC/DC might actually be underrated as a band because they became the world's biggest rock 'n' roll t-shirt business.
Furthermore, AC/DC is stylistically a power-pop band. Their songwriting has more in common with predecessors like The Kinks and descendants like Weezer than contemporaries in "hard rock" like Deep Purple. However, they are a legendarily popular band, which usually disqualifies you from power-pop.
🍿 SPECIAL: An increasingly paranoid man is forced into crime in Halifax director Michael Coolen's microbudget "hypnagogic gangstalking nightmare" debut VERMIN.

Kevin Knight is so great. Not just because he's got a fun moveset and incredible babyface fire, but also because his pants remind me of Five Guys. #AEWDynamite 🤼
Which leads to a situation where the minority of council represents districts who generate massive revenue surpluses, and the majority of council represents districts who are subsidized by downtown's revenues. This sets council up to (usually) vote to loot downtown to keep taxes low

If I was a closeted gay celebrity who wanted to come out I would issue the Michael Jordan unretires press release but have it say "I'M GAY." This idea is free to any closeted gay celebrities who follow me.
‘Trainspotting’ hit theaters 30 years ago today… Did you know Belle And Sebastian’s Stuart Murdoch is in it? Two weeks after the movie was released, he recorded the band’s debut album ‘Tigermilk.’
If you live in Halifax I think you should know that you have the chance to see BACK TO THE FUTURE (3pm) and NIRVANNA THE BAND THE SHOW THE MOVIE (6:45pm) as a double-feature at the Park Lane Cineplex today. It's been a weird winter, and maybe you deserve to have a little fun, y'know?
