Learnt this is Twitter. I only post on my page what I want to amplify. I don't do 'omg! look what this far right person said! urgh!', it amplifies them. There are occasional exceptions, eg something Trump said we need to know, otherwise boundary on that stuff, focus on ours.

When we supported Corbyn and acted like his media bc Isr captured the mainstream to smear him, we were called Corbyn's Army. The far right were extremely triggered! 😂 Corbyn was stopped eventually, but both centrists and the right have been nabbing his ideas ever since. They were all listening too.

It is ok to decide that—in the middle of constitutional crisis—that the job of social media is not persuasion, but organization and organization. It is also ok to decide that listening and persuasion does not have to involve violence and abuse. You know why trolls hide under bridges, right?

People don’t understand why I keep noting that BlueSky is not a bubble, it is a counterpublic. It serves its own organizational function: you can see in realtime in January 2025, on multiple types of social media, shouting that an executive order is instruction to an agency. This one stuck.
