An outdoorsy photoshoppy mole- likes National Trust scones & Dartmoor. Craving the return of Authentic Integrity, not AI (the Internet was more reliable *before* AI). Unconventional use of #AltText as a default, just to annoy purists. Can’t DM.

Another year, another cynical attempt by the private equity backed company β€˜Restore’ to try and scare people away from the much loved National Trust (hoping to take over the charitable board and seize control of its assets and direction) @celiarichardson.bsky.social @nationaltrust.org.uk

β€œIt’s that time of year again,” says Trusty, β€œno time to hibernate - it’s the upcoming @nationaltrust.org.uk Annual General Meeting, and another vote to keep the β€˜Restore’ private equity mob’s hands well away from the Trust’s charitable resources.”

@samiraahmeduk.bsky.social The Farage love-in at BBC News is, yet again, all over social media and BBC News' reputation sinks further every day. That's what they want, isn't it? Drive the rational away, shrink the audience and justify the cuts.

Reform plan to bring back imperial measurements to help boost US trade, not realising that US imperial measurements are different from UK ones. So dense a black hole is empty space by comparison.

By all accounts this is what most of the recent Reform media events have looked like. Bubble well and truly burst

The BBC would say they’re representing the polls, and the support Reform has in them. I would say the support Reform has in the polls is because they’re over-represented on the BBC. πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

The current dilemma for most creatives now is that you need to share work online for your business to survive but if you do, it will immediately be stolen and replicated by AI and it's quite possible your business won't survive that

Pay attention. Ukraine is not just the battlefield, it's the front line. If Russia wins, that line moves further west.

One of the oddest parts of Reflect Orbtial’s schtick is its claim of β€œsubstantive discussions” with scientists and astronomers. Basically zero evidence of this or it having an impact thus far.

I'm can't comment on the sincerity of Tommy Robinson's conversion to Christianity. But Jesus probably didn't want to deport the Good Samaritan back to Samaria.

I’m not a political journalist, so was gladly surprised at the community I found here last night. To Americans anxious about the upcoming elections, a key thing we learned in Brazil that might help you: DO NOT engage with the far-right online. Don’t share rage bait. Amplify your people. Ignore them.

My heart is heavy. Walter Koenig, our Ensign Pavel Chekov, passed away early today. Walter and I met on the bridge of the Enterprise in the 1960s, and we stayed friends for nearly six decades. When Brad and I married in 2008, Walter stood beside us as our best man.

Breaking News! Code: y-Axis Alert! Yesterday's Nino 3.4 preliminary sea-surface temperature anomaly set a new record high, at 3.48Β°C above the 1991-2020 baseline. To clearly show this anomaly, the y-axis max was raised to 4.0Β°C. Attention historians: this is gobsmackingly bananas.
