Every major Democrat has millions in their campaign account. The threat to democracy is big enough that we need to be funding mobilization and messaging right now - not just banking money for the next election. If we don't build right now, there might not be another election.

It's okay to admit it's pretty fucking scary when the most powerful person on earth is threatening state violence against a community you live in and love. In spite of this, I know Portlanders are going to show a lot of courage in the days ahead.

An update on the ICE facility. Our administration's investigation has "show[n] more than two dozen detention policy violations of the facility’s land use conditions of approval with the city, which does not allow detainees to be kept overnight or held for more than 12 hours." 1/

If you’ve never been to a protest and you’re watching coverage with trepidation, I urge you—if you can—to challenge yourself to turn out for one. There’s anger, for sure, but the overwhelming feeling is joy in your community, admiration of your neighbors, and the real power of numbers.
