Imagine giving up power to do things for the chance you can get power to do things, because the exercise of that power as one of the highest paid civil servants in the province forces you to stay up past bedtime some days Now imagine trying to sell that to the voters you have disappointed for years

Pure fucking evil. Humanity must die for the Earth to survive.
Google is evil Wolves Descend on Finnish Villages After Google Hacked Down 1,300 Acres of Habitat to Make Room for AI Data Centers They have nowhere else to go after Google destroyed their forest home Authorities will now probably shoot the wolves futurism.com/future-socie...
We are living in their world, though. Fascism decoupled from the state during the war, and went international. The world went to war against communism. The offramp to a better world was annihilated. Neoliberalism was the project that resulted from years of eroding the left, and we lost, big.
never forget that. if they were terrifying and intelligent we’d be living in their world. the truth is that the correct depiction of a nazi is a guy slipping on a banana peel and comically sliding around trying to regain his balance before falling down and shitting his pants on the way

At least $50 billion for another pipeline. $82 billion in new military spending in 5 years. $300 billion in corporate welfare and mega incentives at an investment summit. But the cupboard is bare for Parks Canada.
2,671 PSAC members at Parks Canada received notice this week that their positions may be cut. These cuts put our environment, natural and cultural heritage, parks, and national historic sites at risk. psacunion.ca/psac-raises-...

If we didn't have FPTP, BC would pretty much never have to worry about a conservative majority. It would be unlikely to ever happen. But the BC NDP knows that fear of the right is pretty much the only thing that can get them majorities, so they keep FPTP. Truly a disgusting and selfish party.

Seems to me that Hegseth isn’t a disastrous clown destroying the U.S. Military, he’s a disastrous clown exposing how the U.S. Military has for decades been a hollow, bloated boondoggle - pork barrel spending that lined pockets and provided zero modern combat readiness.
Man, Hegseth's Department of War is even more buffoonish than everything else. Kinda amazed how the US military didn't just have some basic war plans they could activate. Their lack of preparedness is astonishing. meidasnews.com/news/so-much...

Airbnb went from a cheap way to crash in a spare bedroom or rent a vacation house for a weekend and turned into "what if hotels openly hated you and acted like they were doing you a favor by letting you give them hundreds of dollars to stay there, and also it's more expensive"
Airbnb is banning its hosts from making guests do things like “stripping the bed, taking trash offsite, or washing and putting away dishes.” The hosts....are not taking it well: www.wired.com/story/airbnb...

Approximately two-thirds (66%) of white Americans supported racially segregated schools in the 1940s. By 1995, This figure reversed, with 96% white respondents agreeing that white and Black children should attend the same schools. It's quite obvious that we have to take actions first and care...

“It makes no sense,” Benjamin told the Examiner. “It’s $10 billion for 215 jobs. That’s $46.5 million per job. That’s insane! Give me $46.5 million and I will employ a lot more than one person with that.”

Think about it. In order to fight the greatest enemy of our time (lol I know) you must: - pay your internet bill - defend the status quo - assume all counterpoints are an insidious plot -attend a state scantioned demonstration. - donate to US Gov associated groups - argue with robots - go to work
I cannot imagine a more effective counter-dissident strategy than convincing them there's a secret army of unprovable Russian trolls that they must stay indoors and fight on the internet. Machiavelli would blush with that level of game.
It's incredible how little information the Cdn public is given in the wake of any kind of incident. Whenever I post about this on other social media, usually having to do with RCMP releases, I get a flood of scolds telling me to be patient, & that this is The Way Then the info *never* comes out 👍
Glad to see this post go somewhat viral, not enough people know about how non-transparent Canadian institutions are. This is a good place to learn more, from the Globe and Mail, though it doesn't include the stonewalling that often come from comms agencies www.secretcanada.com

Moreover, it succeeded. I believe that the separation question was simply the most dramatic, and bc of its weight, was declared the reason a referendum was needed. It was the other nine questions that were the critical ones, and Alberta failed in exactly the way it was meant to
To all those "celebrating" the rejection of the separation vote in AB, understand that that was never the goal. This was a campaign supported by foreign interests to destabilize Canada and promote a racist, white nationalist agenda, and create grievance ammunition to further destabilize us.

Those with power will eagerly discover your limits in order to exploit them. They will put any and all of their efforts out of reach of what you are willing to do If the goal is to win, then you cannot operate with limits in mind. You must be ready to apply pressure wherever they are softest.
Some people clearly need to hear this: Every big successful peaceful protest movement of modern history had a violent counterpart. Peaceful protest stopped working the moment the ruling class realized ignoring it wouldn't lead to violent uprising.
