Heyo Bluesky! I'm a black artist from Boston who designs creatures, builds props and costumes, and collects oddities. I'm also a seasoned cellist who cooks traditional Indonesian cuisine. Most noticeably I have a horror fixation. Please enjoy my weird little wares.

In 2005, he invented the TENGA egg. It's sold over $77 million since. It's been so popular that the whole country refers to sex toys by his brand name. “What I aimed for from the start was to become like Coca-Cola. Coca-Cola is delicious and cool. Everyone around the world knows the logo."

Super quick vent post: If you're watching a movie, put your damn phone away, yeah? Pay attention. The people who produced that film didn't make it just so you could sit there and ignore it. ✌️

about 10 main pages left to assemble for the critter zine, plus intro/forward, endpapers, and the cover, then probably a bunch of editing but the end is in sight

found this beast boy doodle buried in a folder somewhere from that time i randomly drew him for about a week. oh well here it is.

Does anyone follow any ceramic artists? I'm looking for some weird or unique ceramic work so if you got any favorites drop em here! Also can we just appreciate the imperfect and random beauty of ceramics in this age of slop and mass produced Garbáge?

A little more pocket. Having some fun playing with the PSD of this and trying clothing ideas. Like, if she hates her legs, how would she hide them when casual? Also, her dive suit has an open back because she has ports down her spine. #CherubArt

Alt ver Most all divers wear heavy coats or similar clothing for protection against the rot, but Pocket, she likes to wear a way-too-big coat to be like her mentor. #CherubArt

If I ever get this absolutely unholy sciatic pain under control god help me for how much creative shit i'm going to put into the world for the backlog caused by not being able to sit or bend down even slightly for years 😤

I miss making art...costumes...sculpts...SO bad. It's been 2 fucking years and life has not permitted me the time or mental space to do it between family tragedy and ongoing health issues. I miss having access to creative communities. Other art weirdos. Conventions. People with mutual passions

Maurice Noble was THE cartoon background designer. I love how much he was able to fuck around around and get so abstractly graphic, yet no one in the audience ever batted an eye because his designs lent so much personality and energy to the cartoons they were used in.

What's Opera, Doc? looks fantastic. Chuck Jones credited that to his artist Maurice Noble. Noble experimented with this cartoon and took big risks. "You will never do anything interesting if you don’t take chances," he argued. We explore what he did: animationobsessive.substack.com/p/why-whats-...

“Be Strong enough to be gentle.” Peter Cullen tells the story of how his brother inspired the voice he would use to play Optimus Prime. It’s a simple yet poignant quote that sums up why Optimus and Peter are so beloved. Til All Are One. 💔

Oh i forgot Markoth. Someone on tumblr requested I draw him. Radiant Markoth sure was a fight huh

I think this way about my returning to being a landscaper/gardener. I won't stop the earth from melting but if I can recommend natives and pollinator friendly options to clients and convince people to trade out their lawn for more useful alternatives, I feel like I'm making a tiny lil impact

A lesson I've learned about "saving the world" or "making the world a better place" is to figure out what I can do, with the skills I have, and do that, instead of thinking I need to do what other people are doing because I think it is somehow more legitimate or important, and then doing nothing.
