Now's probably a good time to finally make a pinned post. Hey there! Writing for tech is my day job, but I also draw, animate, and take photos when I'm not working. I do all four on my website. bauwerks.net #art

Was reminded of this amazing memory; We were all walking back from a group photo in front of the 'Looney Tunes Cartoons' billboard on the WB lot, saw a tour tram and I told the guys "You HAVE to do this, you're all here, when are you ever gonna get a chance like this?" and it made that tour's day!

The colors at sunrise were *insane* this morning. The sky, the fall colors at Promontory Point, the lake...Sheesh! Sure picked a good morning to wake up early

"...I was lazy". 😑 Kind of amazing that he just comes out and says it instead of hiding behind hyperbole like "it's inevitable" or whatever. www.publishersweekly.com/pw/by-topic/...

Who says Asians don't care about gen eh-aye as much as Americans?

Shimoda's been doing some fun, creative stuff with sketchbooks for a while that are worth checking out — rolling a page to make a 3D telephone pole in this case, and also some fun perspective drawings with the book opened up to varying degrees to enhance the trick.

It's been so long since I watched Robot Carnival that I never noticed how Disney-ish the design and animation of this scooter rider is — even some of the layouts and camera zooms feel like Disney's work from the 60s and 70s. I wonder if the animator was a fan of Milt Kahl's work from that time.

Mixed feelings about this. Ditka was openly ultra-conservative and drummed up a lot of controversy talking out of his ass over the years. He also coached the Bears to their only Super Bowl win thus far. 😕 chicago.suntimes.com/obituaries/2...

I'm used to reading about Hong Kong censoring programs due to political issues, but I didn't know showing branded tobacco products that could be construed as advertising was a hot-button topic, too. mainichi.jp/english/arti...

Now being back in Hong Kong, I don't think Americans are aware of just how vile the racism and colorism is in this part of the world.
