Anyone have any recos for a 10” bandsaw, or experience with the Laguna V10?

NEW: Remedy's latest game, Control Resonant, is filled with art galleries. The galleries are filled with real art When I began talking to Remedy about it, I was delighted to discover who the artists are: many are the game developers' parents My story... www.gamefile.news/p/control-re...

The amount of work and craft and care and skill that went into WILDWOOD is bonkers. Please go see this movie if you’re able. We can’t effectively push back on the slopification of everything if we don’t also show up for human-made art.

Today we lost Walter Koenig. Some thoughts about a fine actor and genuinely nice guy....

Well this was a total gonk move but at least it means I got to make another lid I guess.

NEW: "Donald Trump was an active participant in Jeffrey Epstein’s sexual abuse of young women during the mid-to-late 1990s," per new House Judiciary Dem report. Report has new allegation that Trump raped a 24-year-old and then promised the victim a visa & NYU admission, demanding she stay quiet.

Not too bad. Based off mujinmakes.com/product/lumb... but smaller - a Timber Donkey, maybe.

This is Tommy. Tommy had a question about my allegiances. Listen to the end to hear about his.

Ok, Tamsyn Muir has a new book coming out but it doesn’t mention even one skeleton in the blurb.

Obama is currently visiting Glasgow - is that a Buzz Rickson he's wearing? 🤔

I wrote a game, in Rust, with full 2D graphics that plays in your terminal :o. it (ab)uses the Kitty protocol and updates the screen 60 times a second (can go higher!). www.youtube.com/watch?v=dGOG...

The Constitution allows it. South Korea has proven it works. If you want to make impeachment viable—and so much else is pointless if you don't—then it can be done by a simple majority adopting a simple rules change: vote on the verdict by secret ballot.

Finally got around to updating my woodworking blog analog.mirrorshades.net

Holy shit.

Here comes the first part of a new series of articles published on my Patreon: The design and making of ALL the spaceships in the Alien saga, starting with those from the very first movie: the Nostromo, the Narcissus, and the Derelict. This first article is open to everyone. Enjoy!

Sliwa getting a flu shot: This could be very embarrassing. I’m supposed to be a tough guy, right? Mamdani: I can hold your hand. Sliwa: What happens if I faint? Mamdani: I got you. Doctor: You’re in great hands, literally. New Yorkers can find free flu shots and locations at nyc.gov/healthmap

iOS hotspot turning itself on (when macOS is trying to find a network) after you have explicitly turned it off is awesome. I love software that thinks it knows better than I do.

On the one hand this is a silly thing to have made. On the other hand, it’s a silly thing to have made.

Watched Minority Report for movie night. Holds up. The personalized ads that read your eyes seem quaint in 2026 given *waves hands*

Mx15 just recommended mary in the junkyard to me. They’re on WXPN’s to watch list. Love the kid being old enough, and Philly enough, to give me music reco’s like that.

Fucken Fetterman voted for the war.

back in 2016 i made a mesoamerican riff on the oneill cylinder/bernal sphere in "HABITAT"- i love every mossy tube city in space

A frictionless life leads to a smooth brain.

Ok yeah, this is good. Happy with this. Got real lucky with this walnut, and I’m pleased with how it turned out.

Garnet is best tho

This didn’t come out too bad. (I don’t like the legs. They were cheap, though. Will replace them if they annoy me too much.)

“Blade jammed” on lowering, yeah that’d frickin do it. (I lost CFM yesterday and didn’t notice which explains a bit of this , but I also clearly need to invest in a zero clearance insert here!)

Did some decorating.

Really hoping to finish my first desk tomorrow. (I really need one for the Woofice.)

Everyone involved in this, including the Palantir employees who built the software and the executives that sold it, need to be tried for warcrimes

Can’t finish a project because I’m missing 6 washers. Frustrating.

Credit to PBS News. This is by far one of the most accurate descriptions of what trump did. None of the sanewashing we saw with so much of the news coverage.

“Whimsy shelf” for our entryway. Birthday activity. Designed by Mx15, but everyone helped and painted backgrounds. Mistakes mine. (I hate drywall.) Will be filled with whimsical things, I am assured!

Signed up for a woodworking class on hand tool joinery that encourages you to bring your own kit. I have no way to transport things reasonably. Now thinking about turning one of Rex’s new sawbenches into a portable tool chest. Sawing, seating, storage. 🤔 (www.rexkrueger.com/store/p/quic...)
