Walz: If you say you love freedom but you don't believe freedom is for everybody, then the thing you love is not freedom, it is privilege.

I'm not saying journalists should never interview admitted propagandists. There are journalistic reasons to do so. But if we do, we must be prepared to -- in fact it is our duty to -- challenge vociferously all unsubstantiated claims. Otherwise, we ourselves become propagandists.

These notes from universities aren't just useless and cowardly, they're actively dangerous at this point! Your university isn't a "community" if it's allowing people to be abducted off the street because of an op-ed. Real answer is to reallocate all university resources until the student is freed.

Video of the international student at Tufts being arrested by "federal authorities" in Massachusetts has been released and it's terrifying. They're not even uniformed officers. Just secret police thugs in hoodies and masks. From WCVB: youtu.be/PuFIs7OkzYY

Foreign travel to the US generates $150-$200 B in spending per year. It's being felt now at the border from diners to malls that Canadians used to frequent. It's being felt in summer bookings for US vacation destinations. This is terrible for the people who rely on tourists' spending. #Econsky

Rest assured, if a recession comes, Trump and his herd will characterize it as an economic "rebalancing" or "reset" or even a "rebuild" but never a "recession." I remember the recession in 2007-2008 when Bush and his people refused to use the word Recession. Such unserious people.

I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again: an administration (and its supporters) who believe that they are not limited by the rule of law have no moral or philosophical claim to the protection of the rule of law. “The law is whatever we say it is” warrants the same in response.
