We didn't drop enough bombs on Iranian schoolgirls, Republicans say.

Rep. Rich McCormick on Iran: "We should've taken the gloves right from the beginning and hammered them. You have to make it absolutely miserable on their populace."

The Winter Olympics start today, and we will feel pride and honor for our country. But when we see our criminal, delusional President, we feel none of those things. I’ve faced off with him before, and now I’m ready to take him on in Congress.

Newsom on Trump's military parade: "It's a vulgar display. It's the kind of thing you see with Kim Jong Un, you see it with Putin, you see it with dictators around the world that are weak ... Weakness masquerading as strength ... that's about as small as it gets ... that's Donald Trump."

Newsom: "The notion that the US active duty Marines, these heroes, would be used to militarized the streets of an American city is an abomination. The Founding Fathers did not live and die to see that happen in this country for no reason whatsoever than vanity."

Might be a lesson here somewhere about outsourcing capacity for key government services to a guy who lives in a lair under a volcano

Trump can threaten SpaceX and Musk. But US government needs SpaceX almost more than SpaceX needs US government. DOD is addicted to SpaceX, as is NASA. Starlink is surging in profits anyway faster than SpaceX launch. Yes, Musk gets massive fed contracts. But DOD needs to get to space. So does NASA

For some reason I’m currently thinking of an Andrzej Sapkowski line modified for a Witcher 3 trailer: “Evil is evil. Greater, lesser, middling. Makes no difference. The degree is arbitrary, the definitions blurred. If I’m to choose between one evil and another…I’d rather not choose at all”

The Trump Administration lies about the law, and it lies about the facts. The administration lies about EVERYTHING.

Wow, wow, wow Declassified National Intelligence Council, Sense of the Community Memorandum: "The Maduro regime probably does not have a policy of cooperating with TDA and is not directing TDA movement to and operations in the United States." Now consider: DOJ lawyers saying opposite to courts!

It is true that the government, which is bound by the Constitution's requirement that it provide due process, is expected to behave better than criminals.

Homan on Abrego Garcia: "He got more due process than Laken Riley got."

Denverite reposted

First off, what the heck is that even supposed to mean? It's just smashing together two unrelated things. Second, this stuff is insulting to Ms. Riley's memory. Mr. Abrego's case has nothing to do with her, why invoke her name except to use it as a weapon; an emotional cudgel.
