Republicans keep claiming there’s no urgency to act on ACA subsidies until year’s end, but people have to enroll in November! Apparently Republicans want them to do that without knowing what their costs will be. It’s hypocritical and could trap families in plans they can’t afford..

This doesn't bode well at all. I'm still shocked at how quickly and willingly people are giving so much power over and faith into AI.

According to a new report, nearly 27% of homes sold in Q1 of 2025 were bought by real estate investors — the highest share in at least five years. If we want to make housing affordable for working people, we must get Wall Street out of our homes. https://youtu.be/q9TOGxDJ0TE?si=vGkgsj8jyHBFtUyW

Here’s the bottom line for what’s going on with Grok - if the owner of the website is putting his thumb on the scale hard enough for the chatbot to turn into Goebbels, you should be deeply concerned about what he’s doing to the algorithm that you can’t so easily see, and what it’s doing to you

Today the Supreme Court cleared the way for the federal government to transfer thousands of acres of national forestland including a Native American sacred site, to Resolution Copper a mining company owned by Rio Tinto and BHP. The land holds deep spiritual significance for the Western Apache tribe.

The top five egg producers own roughly half of all U.S. laying hens. The biggest of those corporations is Cal-Maine, which just announced quarterly profits of $509 million — more than 3x what it made a year ago. Corporate concentration + bird flu = a price-hiking free for all.

If you think this can’t happen, remember that of the 125,000 Japanese Americans who were interned during WWII for years without charge or trial, two-thirds were U.S. citizens. Including me.

When Trump imposed tariffs during his first term, companies who contributed to Republicans were more likely to be granted tariff exemptions. Trump's corporate donors won't shoulder the cost of his trade wars — working class Americans will. It's crony capitalism at its worst.

Musk’s staffers have entered an independent government agency by force. Employees from DOGE are now inside the Washington offices of the United States Institute of Peace. This comes just days after agency representatives were unable to gain access to the building on Friday being blocked by lawyers.

This is a coup! U.S. Institute for Peace called the DC police on the Musk team members in an effort to stop them from trespassing because the institute has control of its own building and the land it sits on. But instead, the DC police allowed them to enter and kicked out the institute’s officials.

DOGE claims to have saved $115 billion, but we can confirm this figure is overstated by 77.3%, meaning the actual savings amount to only $26.05 billion. To verify this, we had to rely on internal connections, as Musk has obscured details of these claims on DOGE despite promises of transparency.
