Red sweetcorn!! Never grown this before but it's done really well. Tastes pretty much exactly like regular yellow sweetcorn but looks quite a lot more gnarly.

Avocados come in 2 varieties - A-types start each day female and switch to male midday. B-types do the reverse. In work just published from the last chapter of my PhD, we show this system evolved 40+million yrs ago and is regulated by alleles of 1 transcription factor www.pnas.org/doi/10.1073/...

dplyr 1.2.0 is out now and we are SO excited! - `filter_out()` for dropping rows - `recode_values()`, `replace_values()`, and `replace_when()` that join `case_when()` as a complete family of recoding/replacing tools These are huge quality of life wins for #rstats! tidyverse.org/blog/2026/02...

I know this is too general and context-free but if I never again see the words "low-hanging fruit" to describe research, it will be too soon. At this point, it might be safer to assume that all low-hanging fruits of science are already picked and whatever we collect with such ease is rotten.

If you're teaching a graduate level course, I beg you to include a module on how to schedule and run a meeting. Time zones, calendar invites, links, agendas, minutes, chairing. Together we can be the change we so desperately need.

I think anyone who did a modicum of research about what Farage and Boris were saying could see through the lies. People were convinced they would take their country back from EU bureaucrats, but they took a faltering economy into the drain. FWIW, I was living there and voted "stay" when it happened.

This should be blown up to poster size and pasted on Brexiter walls.

I think the lies and deceit really set the stage for what has gone down in the US. People voting against their best interests, spurred on by hate of the "other". Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt (FUD) are a hell of a drug.
