Lies, cheating, falsification is considered to be a badge of honour. It attracts business, delivers profits whilst toothless regulators ape the three unwise monkeys. See this report. Fabrications, fraud and false accounting: how Deloitte helped Abramovich hide $10bn.

Beware of finance industry lobbying. It hired PwC (the firm that delivers dud audits) to produce a report, claiming that UK banks face highest rates of tax. The report included taxes not borne by banks. Omitted countries that levy higher rates of taxes. Integrity never gets in the way of profits.

Ever wondered how someone can look at rules to keep us safe from toxic chemical pollution + think they're a bad thing? @corporateeurope.org talks to Naomi Oreskes about the ideology behind that thinking, + the networks of influence spreading these ideas: corporateeurope.org/en/2026/08/i...

The tree covers an area of around 8,000 square meters (2 acres) and has become its own forest – as the tree spread, branches that contacted the ground took root, forming a dense, interconnected canopy. Photo credits: blog.blablacar.com.br (aerial), expedia.com (below canopy)
