ITS LIVE!! I am OBSESSED with the Firmament. It is such an incredible, deeply evocative experience. I am MONTHS out from my last playtest and I cant stop thinking about it. It is the macabre, divine, and sublime. You absolutely need to play it.

Basically, any time you catch yourself framing an observation or criticism in terms of The Purpose of TTRPGs, you're wrong. Regardless of what you've identified, I guarantee you not only is it not the sole Purpose of TTRPGs, for many groups it's not even *amongst the principal functions* of TTRPGs.

The thing about a document where you're not able to make meaningful formatting changes is that you're left with two things: writing and data structures. The more legible you make the writing using data structures, the more clear and usable it will all be if it DOES get laid out all fancy.

The first one was floated on twitter right as AI artwork was starting to become manifest in 2022 and I saw a lot of people expressing burnout. This has not really improved since tbh. But once a year* you can ignore all that and just write something, right now. You'll have a great time, I promise.
