Macron: β€œBrexit is the biggest lie of the last 30 years. β€œThose who said, "We will be richer" - eight points of GDP less ten years later. "”We will solve the problem of immigration" - it is more complicated than before. "”We are going to crush it in international trade" - it is worse.”

English politicians may ignore this, but it really is a big deal and symptomatic of the loss of faith in Westminster β€” especially since Brexit.

According to Nigel Farage, Iceland being in the EU Single Market, having free movement of people and belonging to Schengen is perfectly compatible with national independence. I look forward to him endorsing the same independence for the UK: back in the Single Market, with free movement and Schengen

Iceland is not in the EU, but it is a member of the Schengen area. It’s also a member of the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) and is part of the Single Market, meaning it enjoys freedom of movement with the EU. Good to know that doesn’t impact their independence. Maybe we should try it, Nige.

If we rejoin the Single Market, with all the benefits to trade, free movement, investment, growth, culture and cost of living that it brings, Reform would have to fight the next election explaining why they'd abolish those things – which is something they didn't even dare do in rhe ref! #RejoinEU πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡Ί

The UK's endless political circus is a direct result of Brexit. Leaving the EU made it impossible for any PM to deliver the kind of economy, living standards & public services that voters demand. Meanwhile, Farage exploits the failure of his own policy for personal power. Good to discuss on WION.

People may not be aware of it, but Brexit impacts every single area of policy that's causing problems. From inflation to failing services to lack of investment to skills shortages to defence to culture and music to interest rates to manufacturing to dissolutionment with politics.

In case you forgot what it looks like when a real president gets the love at a game. You know, when the crowd actually wants the president there.

You can't be at the heart of something from outside its body. We need to be in the EU, at the heart of its single market, and at the table when the big calls are made.

"Rebuilding the UK's relationship with the EU is what the Labour government will be defined by" Starmer said. Don't get me wrong I'm very pleased to hear this, but shows how his "never rejoin in my lifetime" Brexit rhetoric was (and still is) completely ridiculous.

β€œThe U.S. Supreme Court Historical Society has calculated that Magna Carta is cited in at least 160 Supreme Court cases since 1789, not least as the foundation of the principle that executive power is subject to checks and balances,” Charles said. Hell yeah!!! #KingCharles
