Important corollary: people are LESS likely to support authoritarian leaders if people around them don't. This is where "social proof" comes in. Be vocal and visible to social circles and neighbors about your resistance against authoritarians AND your support of pro-democracy candidates and causes

We know this, in part, bc the states sued (as well as some people who lost grants).

IT’S TIME FOR BLUE STATES TO FIGHT BACK. HARD. Why are we funding a federal government that openly punishes states for not voting for Trump? The Trump administration admitted in court it canceled nearly $8 billion in clean energy grants because the states didn’t vote for him. Blue states only.

In Cisco, #SCOTUS not only (unpersuasively) eviscerated the Alien Tort Statute, but it effectively neutered a 22-year-old precedent for no other reason than that the Republican appointees disagree w/ it. There's a lot of people newly paying attention to Zelenskyy's eye on Iran. I think if Ukraine can DEFINITIVE show Trump is knowingly lying abt RU and China helping Iran it would corner him somewhat. That may be why Ukraine struck a ship in the Caspian (Israel previously struck a port there).

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Q: Zelenskyy says Russia is giving Iran satellite imagery of US bases in the Gulf to help them target. What can you do about that? TRUMP: We'll find out if that's true. I'll ask Putin about it. Hasn't had much impact.

Why bother calling your Senator and telling them to vote NO on Todd Blanche for Attorney General even though Trump will keep him in the job regardless? Because history should record the NO vote. You’ll want it on the record that we rejected him. That’s why.
