"The labor share of income, which is the amount of economic output paid to workers as compensation, fell to 52.8% earlier this year, Bureau of Labor Statistics data shows. That’s the lowest-ever level, according to BLS records that go back to 1947."

Yeah this is an important point. Apprenticeships in the skilled trades are as important as masters degrees in the white collar world.

Brian Poindexter For Congress@poindexterforcongress.com

Ever wonder why politicians never actually do anything to support apprenticeship programs and community colleges? Maybe it's because none of them actually understand how they work. I'm a proud community college grad and apprenticeship instructor. I'm going to DC to shake that up.

Among the most important is Annette Blackwell for Ohio Auditor. Stop shady dealings and corruption in government. This woman knows what she's doing. www.blackwellforohio.com

It's not just Ohio's governorship and Senate race that the GOP has to fret about next week. Ohio Democrats' strength, plus Vivek Ramaswamy’s own self-inflicted wounds, give them the chance to flip more key offices the GOP has held since the 2010 wave.

🔥 OBAMA: “The thing is, Iran didn’t have nuclear weapons — because I put a deal in place he pulled out of… and the war he started is why the price of everything is UP… how much time do you think Hegseth spends looking at himself in the mirror? These are not serious people.”

The fact that Amy Acton was removed from her mother’s care and went on to obtain an MD and flourish in public health makes her even more of a hero in my eyes. This type of trauma never really goes away. Yet when there was a fork in the road, she chose the one where she helps others. Hero.

Bad men gain power when we don't fight back. Vivek Ramaswamy is everything wrong with politics: arrogance, cruelty, dishonesty, and a willingness to do ANYTHING for power. Ohio deserves better. I'm proud that my wife, MK, is supporting Dr. Amy Acton today.

#ohio voters, I've attended two of Annette Blackwell's events and spoke with her personally. I'm convinced she is what Ohio needs for this office. Capable, principled, experienced, practical. Annette has my vote.

Ohio’s next auditor watches every dollar your local government spends. Annette Blackwell has managed public money in a crisis and turned it around. She wants the auditor’s office to step in before a community reaches fiscal emergency, not after. https://bit.ly/4s0S5nC

Pope Leo today at lunch with the poor: “I came without a speech, but with hunger, with hunger for justice, with hunger for authentic charity, with hunger for a Church that truly knows how to open the doors, welcome, receive everyone, where there is love for all and where no one is an enemy.”

Governor DeWine makes a whole lot of sense here. Listen to him.

GOP Gov. Mike DeWine: "It is not in the United States' interest, certainly not in Ohio's interest, to have people who are working every single day, who are supporting a family, buying houses, and really are contributing, and yank them out."

"The loss of control the average American now feels is a spring tightly wound, and the data center rush just might be the thing that trips it. It rebels against the tech oligarchs who have turned our lives into an endless stream of menus, with no human interaction in sight."

I don’t know man, who is “the Democratic Party” if it’s not the voters?Democratic voters choose candidates, not party leaders. And party leaders need to listen to what voters are telling us - and right now they are demanding our party be bolder.

Jaime Harrison@jaimeharrison.bsky.social

I say this with no ill will or animosity: if you hate the Democratic Party, then please don’t run for our nomination. Don’t use our resources. Don’t rely on our volunteers. Don’t use our infrastructure. Don’t ask Democrats to invest their time, money, and energy in your campaign.
