What happens when a mad king discovers that the war he launched is not going to go the way he envisioned it? Asking for a friend.

The fact that shootings happen regularly in the US, putting countless people's lives at risk & ending people's lives is why we need gun reform. Charlie never thought he'd be impacted. So his attitude was "gun deaths are unfortunately worth it to keep the 2nd amendment". #Pinks

Charlie Kirk wasn’t the only person shot today. But, they’re not big name MAGA’s, so it’s unlikely we’ll hear much about it from this administration. At least 3 students injured in shooting at Colorado high school. #CommonsenseGunReform flip.it/5-LzW5

That Super Bowl was a gift for black artists. Kendrick showed us a way forward in this time of facism. Coded language. Storytelling. Aggressive humor and joy. Elevated artistry in the place of mere entertainment. Not obeying in advance. Saying the thing that respectability doesn’t want us say.

The legislative branch has the honor of being the first branch of the government specified in the Constitution. You'd never know that from the way they act these days. Today's Morning Shots from @billkristolbulwark.bsky.social and Ben Parker: www.thebulwark.com/p/congressio...

Last month, Sen. Deb Fischer's (R-NE) husband refused to shake the Vice President's hand. Yesterday, he tried to shake Doug Emhoff's hand. The Second Gentleman replied: "Why would you try to shake my hand when you wouldn’t shake my wife’s hand?” REPOST if you love Doug Emhoff!

The world is about to change. Before I can start to face those changes I want to say "THANK YOU" Mr. President and Madam Vice President. You brought fairness and decency back to the people's house. I will always be proud of voting for each of you!

This is NOT a parody or satire. This is real💯 So this is supposed to be our new Secretary of Defense? Mmmmmk We are not serious people our allies should trust with ANY level of intelligence sharing🤦‍♀️

It’s wrong to allow someone like this to be in charge of our country, and decisions that impact all our lives! If people would have simply done their jobs to hold him accountable he wouldn’t be! It’s wrong, and now we are all going to pay the price!

They want fewer Americans going to college to create larger pools of low cost labor. They want to import for higher skill jobs, but handcuff them with work visas. It's a seismic labor grift devised by Bond villains. It's great for them. Not so good for you.

This guy wanted $90 MILLION for his inauguration, but had no issue slashing funds to pay for pediatric cancer research. Cancer research, for children. Let that sink in for a minute. So if you’re wondering what his priorities are, take a look at how he abused money the last time he was in office.

Class consciousness is happening and they are terrified of it. "You let one ant stand up to us, then they all might stand up! Those puny little ants outnumber us a hundred to one and if they ever figure that out there goes our way of life! It's not about food, it's about keeping those ants in line"

California, a state of nearly 40,000,000 people, has the same amount of representation in the United States Senate as Wyoming, a state of less than 600,000 people. This is the direct result of a deal struck between slave states and free states in the 1700s. It’s time for that to change.

The greatest failure of the modern Democratic Party is the apparent belief that basic elements of politics -- selling your policies to voters and reminding them what you did for them -- is somehow tacky and beneath them.

Oliver Willis@owillis.bsky.social

It is hard to understate how silent Democrats went after Biden won. The right filled the vacuum with bullshit and aside from an obscure message or two from the White House, the GOP dominated. It didn’t have to be but Democrats don’t believe in comms. That’s a big reason we are here.

You are up to date.
