Walmart spent $43.4B on stock buybacks from 2019 to 2025, enough to give each of its 2.1M workers annual bonuses of $2,953. Last year, retiring CEO Doug McMillon pocketed $29.2M — his largest payday ever and 958x Walmart's median worker pay of $30,520. Textbook corporate greed.

1/ Susan Collins accepted $2,800 from Leon Black. She voted no on the release of the Epstein Files. Collins accepted a $10k donation from Casey Wasserman and hosted a Hollywood fundraiser for her. Elon Musk donated $2,800 to Collins. Black Rock Schwarzman donated $3 million to Pine Tree Collins.

Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear has the constitutional authority to temporarily appoint someone to fill Mitch McConnell’s seat. If GOP lawmakers want to challenge that, they can do so. This will be the first big test to see whether Beshear really is presidential material. I hope he passes the test.
