He has a history of punching holes in bulkheads and security doors off their tracks. While his strength is often welcome during boarding actions, his presence on the crew comes at the cost of vigilance; Åsa has given Ejhra a standing order to not let Zeyn consume more than two energy drinks per day.

A really cool thing about the Kickstarter for Unfamiliar is that we got at least one pledge every single day of the campaign for two weeks through getting funded. Yesterday: no pledge. That's fine! A day of rest is deserved. Now let's kick ass and hit those stretch goals! Do I hear 50 backers next?

After not making it into the planetary militia due to his clumsiness and inattentiveness, he took to the stars, where his ability to follow orders got him plenty of jobs, and his inability to think outside of those orders got him bounced back out of them.

While maintaining it is one of the larger budget items that Liz has to contend with, it’s worth it for having a home port away that nobody else can reach and for the morale it provides.

Alabaster Shrike crew report: After doing too many jobs as Hock’s first mate, Liz knew that the first she wanted to break out into its own was quartermaster. To that end, she hired Ejhra (jendeer, he/him) at one of the first freeports she docked at. #MeetTheCrew #spacepirates #HockIsMissing

Ejhra isn’t a particularly fearsome pirate, or aggressive; in fact his career of “pirate” seemed to just be some accident of job-hopping around shipping roles. But he has a head for logistics and that’s what’s important, making sure everything on the Shrike is stocked up, from EMP mines to booze.

Pwee is the one example of me going back and adding to the book after writing the bio. I didn't want someone mild-mannered to happened to fall into piracy (we already had that with Ejhra, going up tomorrow). The solution to make him half-blind felt good, and I went to add it into the book after.
