I wonder how long it will take businesses (and social media folk) to realize that using obvious AI-created images are hurting their brand. They're not interesting. They're not good. And they send the message that you don't really care about what you're doing. Lazy and ineffective.

People who use AI images to promote their businesses are telling me they are putting as little effort as possible into reaching out to potential customers. I'm happy to respond by putting as little effort as possible into being at all interested in what they are trying to sell me.

ChatGPT got me actually hating little old ladies. I grab for the remote as soon as I hear them. It's like the big AI companies are realizing they've turned off almost the entire population but are hoping to still be able to tap into the same audience that still falls for telephone scammers.

In ten years i hope we look back and wonder why in the hell we put AI in everything. I hope it'll settle into the places it is truly beneficial and everything else will seem like a bizarre dream we had.
