Today I bought a book that came in on our truck that isn't *supposed* to release until Tuesday the 27th that I preordered MONTHS ago thinking we wouldn't get it. Also we got Godzilla Minus Zero bag clips in and I grabbed one of those too. This job DOES has some perks, I suppose.

because it is relevant to my work, I have tried very hard to educate myself on how AI works, be fair and measured in how I evaluate it, and regularly test new tools to confirm or debunk my priors and tbh AI haters are just nailing it with less work like 99% of the time. keep at it folks

After years of seeing comic folks talking about it, Naoki Urasawa's manga Billy Bat is finally getting published here in the US. I borrowed the first volume from work and DAMN, it's good stuff. Excited to see how it goes.

One of my favorite sci-fi shows of the decade—of the century!—is celebrating its third anniversary today. Scavengers Reign was a shooting star🌠, poorly supported by HBO Max and then Netflix (as it was only available in a handful of countries), but I'm so glad this one season exists.

Gotta get more back into bass practice but I can play Neon Moon pretty decently now, a song teenage Brett never once would've considered learning.

I still want to write an essay about how most American's conception of Godzilla movies is based on just how prominent Megalon was compared to any other movie in the series.

Consistent home video releases and an appearance on Mystery Science Theater 3000 have helped turn Godzilla vs Megalon from a box office failure to an all-time camp classic. There's a lot of fun to be had with this one, from Megalon's powers to Jet Jaguar's theme song to Godzilla's dropkick.
