Buttigieg on Duffy: "I love roadtrips. I love America. I actually took a taxpayer-funded roadtrip lasted about 7 months. It was in Afghanistan. This is something very different. To make roadtrips unaffordable & then go around celebrating your own roadtrip is actually why people are frustrated about"

Wisconsin Supreme Court justices have a profound responsibility: protecting the rights of the people and delivering on the promise of equal justice under the law. Judge Chris Taylor is the only candidate running for Wisconsin’s Supreme Court with a proven record of delivering on that promise.

You called? Mullin--several times--discussed bringing violence back to Congress, claiming the rules allowed for caning in the past. No. They didn't. For crying out loud. So there isn't any "presence" -- his word -- (i.e. precedent) for it. This guy shouldn't have anything to do with "security."

boston.comLocal author reacts to Sumner-Mullin comparisons: 'The caning itself was a brutal attack'“Maybe we should bring some of that back, keep people from thinking they’re so tough," Senator Mullin said of duels and canings.

Rand Paul confronts Markwayne Mullin at his confirmation hearing to replace Kristi Noem about his history of advocating for violence to resolve political differences, including caning, fistfights, biting, dueling, and punching people in the face.

Buttigieg: "Trump's political operation was raising money off images at a dignified transfer. Any politician who does that has no business leading American troops into war. If the president is willing to raise campaign funds over the bodies of America's war dead, he's unfit to be commander in chief"

We are a nation of 349M, yet one man decided to launch our nation into a reckless, illegal war without congressional authorization or counsel or the support of the American people. He didn’t think he had any duty to sell it or serve the people’s interests. This is why despotic rule is so dangerous.

Iran’s people were facing a horrible shortage of water before the war began. If we are destroying desalination plants and setting fire to Teheran we are committing unfathomable crimes.

The glibness. The indifference. The carelessness. The utter lack of planning for a war against a country of 90M. The sickness of a man who acts on whim that will kill thousands not hundreds. The horror of a regime that enables this sickness. The broken body politic that votes in such malignancy.

No one who is at all concerned with the national security of the United States can possibly support Trump. This is simply a hideous betrayal of the country and its future in exchange for a bribe.

Chris Murphy@chrismurphyct.bsky.social

The UAE secretly paid Trump $187 million. Money in his pocket personally. And then Trump overrode decades of national security objections to selling Nvidia chips to UAE because we feared UAE would send the chips to China. Corruption has consequences.

So basically Trump can post that he’s sending a hospital ship to Greenland for no reason, then do absolutely nothing to actually send a hospital ship to Greenland because it was all a lie, and not one single Republican gets asked about it. That’s where we’re at.

Peter Thiel has been open about this for a long time. Trump is a way to break the republic, which can then be replaced by “free economic zones” with oligarchs as dictators and tech as a taskmaster for helpless humans without any rights. (1/2)

Bovino is just the patsy - a noxious and odious fall guy. Stephen Miller is the architect and prime mover of the whole thing. Everything they do is at his direction - often after his threats. As long as he runs policy in the WH, nothing will change no matter how many Bovinos come and go.
