Minneapolis people - free patches - sort of. I've made 300 of these patches. They're velcro but also have an iron-on back so you can iron them on, sew them on, or stick them on items with a velcro area - like backpacks, jackets, chest rigs, etc.

I'm not currently shipping - I want to keep this local and support the businesses as well as the organizations getting the donations. Stay strong friends, resisting fascism is a long-term project. Support your neighbors, check in on your friends. Do good stuff. Oh, and I'm keeping no money.

I'm going to be handing these out in person only at local businesses. While you're there getting a sweet patch, grab a beer, coffee, slice of pizza, whatever - our local businesses are hurting and spending money is the best way to help.

I'm handing them out without collecting any money, instead, you need to show me proof of a donation of at least $10 per patch to an organization doing good for our neighbors. That could be a food shelf, local mutual aid org, rent assistance, the ACLU, your choice.

If you're from outside MN and feel weird about sending a "Hope you're okay!" text to someone here, don't. Haven't talked since high school? Ex-coworker from 6 years ago? Already sent one a week ago? Doesn't matter. Every time I get one it's a big relief that people are paying attention.

Amazing statement from the chaplain of the MN Timberwolves, I’m guessing in response to the craven press release co-signed by so many local CEOs today (inc the Timberwolves!) calling for the “deescalation of tensions” here but refusing to assign any specific blame or even *mention* ICE / CBP

Do you understand the impact of the ICE actions in Minneapolis? I'll give you a local framework - I sat at a table at Matt's Tonight for three hours. There was never a line. On Friday night from 630-930. That's cataclysmic.

Reminder - many people have died in ICE custody. This is just the first white woman we've seen them kill. Our targeted friends have been feeling this way for months.
