This is part of why Ace Combat rules so hard. Characters will call you, a fighter jet pilot, "The Demon Lord of the Round Table" with honesty in their eyes and sincerity in their hearts. They address you with fear and respect and never ONCE sarcasm.

bringing this back around

Man is there a better type of scene than "The hero and the villain are forced to participate in a polite conversation where they pretend they don't know who they are and just stare daggers at each other the whole time" Banger of a scene, every time.

NEW ARTICLE NEW ARTICLE NEW ARTICLE! Emotions are the basic and most important part of human function, as essential as protein. So why is it that so many game designers don't design for emotion? featuring Dark Cloud and Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth! docseuss.medium.com/its-not-enou...

docseuss.medium.comit’s not enough to build something, part 2: you must be aware that someone will play the video gameYears ago, a teen pitched an idea to me: “what if you wrote a story about an alien from the perspective of an alien?”

Modders getting their hands on DLSS 5 as a thing they can release to the public is a big problem for the AI sphere the same way a Chinese company producing an AI model for like 10% the price was a catastrophic problem. How expensive AI models are to train/produce is what underpins the stock price.

DLSS 5 ON

Alien: Resurrection, but that was like a third of it while dad watched it on TV across the room. For myself it was Resident Evil. It was cool but mostly I was confused about when Leon and or Chris were gonna show up. Canada's more lax with an R however, so there might be something else.

Do you remember what *your* first R-rated movie was? I finally asked my mom (I couldn't remember), and she told me it was The Lost Boys when I was roughly the same age as my daughter (about 9). The movie traumatized her more than it did me, apparently

Normally when I hear "somebody's lying about the survey results" I expect to see like ridiculous leading questions or nonsense bad faith interpretations of the data. But no these people are in fact, just straight up lying through their teeth. No "well technically' shenanigans.

I'm finally digging into the cross tabs underlying the @searchlightinst.bsky.social memo telling Dems not to talk about climate change. It surprised me, but may not surprise you, that the memo lies about what US swing voters actually said in the polling. Let's have a look, shall we? 🧵

Oh, you've made a video game? And you want people to play it? Well, let's talk about how to do that better. How, exactly, can you make sure people care about your game and want to tell other people about it? Check it out here: docseuss.medium.com/its-not-enou...

Gonna take a time machine back to 1996 when Space Jam came out and tell people that in 2026 Michael Jordan wins the Oscar for Best Actor just to confuse the hell out of everybody

It's getting absurd. Like look at these two games and tell me which one fits the currently used definition of an Indie Game.

Masao Kobayashi@megamasao.bsky.social

If people honestly want to define indie game as a self published it would mean the category will almost exclusively be rich people and financially successful studios. Which is the most country club ass way to look at this medium and I hate it.

Like I don't enjoy harping on the game awards because the game awards exist as a manifestation of the chip Geoff has on his shoulder about Hollywood, But like by the current definitions the same 5 dudes could keep dissolving and then reforming their company to farm the "Debut Indie" category.
