Really though I don't think I've run into a meme format that I seem to have completely zero immunity to before. Every single Winston meme gets me, if it was a virus I'd be dead yesterday

Ben Trautman@captainplanet.bsky.social

I think we should just let Deadlock have Winston too. Winston is for everyone

Looking for game devs who have been directly inspired by anything BioWare for my next video. I suspect the public likely doesn’t quite realize the extent of their influence on the industry, so I’d really like to highlight that. If you are one such game devs, pls reply to this post!

can’t think of a better example of AI being mostly a solution to a problem that doesn’t exist also it can’t help when this is your user base

I watched the last episode of the first season of True Detective first because HBO had it ordered the wrong way and thought it was just a very long and strange cold open

Hate it when you see what you think is a cool bird and you look it up later and it’s called like the Common Dumb Asshole. “Birders throughout history have hated its guts. It can’t even fly right.” I thought I saw an interesting guy.

I still don't get who is this product for. Are Muse users just such useless smol beans that they have to offload the scary choice of whether to get black or pinto beans to their lying robot butler

Repotting day! I did a layer of (rinsed)kanuma, then a layer of sphagnum still for the moisture wick to land in, some slow release fertilizer pellets (safe for the plants), then kanuma to the top. Slowly going to top them with living sphagnum to help keep moisture in

I have to ask -- is it a hard requirement that you own and display a guitar to be allowed to post on /r/malelivingspace? why is there always a guitar? do only men who play guitar live alone?

even just on foot, I found LA was very fun to explore when I lived downtown. parks all over the place

L.A. TACO@lataco.bsky.social

Send this to someone who needs to touch grass! 🌳🐛🌿🌈 L.A. is full of parks you can visit via @metrolosangeles.bsky.social when you want to bird watch, hike, or just hang out under some shade. #MetroPartner #GoMetro

The loose plan is to continue allowing the ventrata to colonize the right side, while clearing out light and headroom for the singalana x ovata on the left now that I realized that it's pitchering again. Have some cuttings embedded in the moss as well so we'll see if they take

And the catch? And the catch? And the catch? And the catch? And the catch? And the catch? And the catch? And the catch? And the catch? And the catch? And the catch? And the catch?

area of expertise (relevant right now): When MMRs get squished, the number of high rank players is suddenly much less than before, which can *skew stats* special interest: the reason your pitcher plant isn't making pitchers is YOU NEED MORE LIGHT

What’s a thing from your area of expertise (or special interest) that you think it would behoove everyone else to know?

Ah the classic "I'm not in a cult, you're in a cult!" argument

lauren@lauren.rotatingsandwiches.com

i understand getting yelled at on the internet sucks but if you want to stake out a moderate AI position that it has some good uses while acknowledging it also has extensive harms: basically the worst way you could make your case is that those who don't agree the tradeoff is worth it are cultists

why can't staring at my plants make them grow faster

Ben Trautman@captainplanet.bsky.social

This is probably healthy for me in the long term but having hobbies related to growing plants / animals sometimes is so frustrating because I can't just grind it out. I can't do work on my own to make these things grow faster, I just have to sit there and seethe

Google Earth's new AI feature lets anyone fabricate inaccurate satellite imagery, from making it look like a place has been drone striked to manifesting a nuclear plant in Iran. What could go wrong? @evystadium.bsky.social has more. Story @josephcox.bsky.social: www.404media.co/google-earth...
