I sure am glad DIRECTV and the #cbj can’t figure their shit out, cause it sounds like the jackets can’t figure shit out either.

A bunch of cops cheering at a political rally — in uniform — as the president and AG endorse a candidate and attack their political opponents is not normal. And it is not okay.

Newly confirmed Attorney General Todd Blanche is speaking at a Trump rally to endorse Bruce Blakeman

This is why we should stop referring to it as “white collar, or financial crime.” It’s criminal felony activity and should be presented that way. Just because there is no physical assault doesn’t make it any less hurtful to society. I’d argue these “white-collar” crimes hurt the community more.

Philip Bump@pbump.com

A central part of why it seems like powerful, rich people live in a consequence-free world is that the social incentives to hold them to account have withered. www.ctinsider.com/columnist/ar... 𝟏𝟐-𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐰𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐞-𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐬

I had a pro-life door knocker today. I declined to answer his questions about abortion. His opinion and mine on abortion are irrelevant. Then he asked about Jon Husted; and it slipped out, I said “Jon Husted can eat a dick.”

The columns don’t hold anything up. All they do is give heil hitler

Who says America doesn't build great things anymore. (I would've painted those two-by-fours that are keeping the vinyl sheets from flapping in the wind, but I'm no expert.)

Massie is terrible but he's a good critic of what the right wing has become.

Blue Georgia@bluegeorgia.bsky.social

Watch Thomas Massie turn the tables and completely own Fox News Digital reporter Nicholas Ballasy. Just incredible.

It’s time to stop calling them “influencers” and call them what they are, sellouts.

This weekend DoorDash tweeted about the World Cup but repeatedly tagged T-Pain, as if they were mixing him up with NZ soccer player Tim Payne. T-Pain got in on it too, acting confused. Turns out it was all a "partnership." No ad disclosure on any of the posts. www.theverge.com/news/954145/...

AI is starting to remind me of 3D printers. Sure in the right hands both can do good things. But if everyone has it they just make a bunch of junk that no one wants.

Patrick Galey@patrickgaley.bsky.social

Please enjoy this graph from a FT article explaining that AI hasn’t added any value (no, debt and circular investment isn’t value) It has produced More Stuff, it’s just the Stuff isn’t useable or fixable. Welcome to the age of everyone making apps no one uses

I keep seeing this, but the power of the presidency leaves trump in January of 29. Even if he locks himself in the bunker, he’s just a crazy old mad locked in the White House bunker.

Simon Rosenberg@simonwdc.bsky.social

Trump has repeatedly said the bunker will be ready on September 2028. Just in time to lock himself in. bsky.app/profile/muel...

I don’t think DOJ should hand the president a multi-billion dollar slush fund he can divvy up between criminals he likes and his private bank account, nor that he should be able to buy stock then use taxpayer funds to boost that company. It’s corrupt. Sorry to get so partisan, but that’s how I feel.

Just kick him in the fucking knees. He’s got no speed.

Evan Sutton@evansutton.bsky.social

This has to be the funniest question AND response I've ever seen in a poll. Less than half of Republican men think they could beat Trump in a fight. What a bunch of pathetic losers.

Sandy Hook Elementary

Clara Jeffery@clarajeffery.bsky.social

On CNN SE Cupp saying what we're all feeling: The constant violence against politicians, against media, against everyone is so traumatizing and exhausting to constantly be exposed to and cover.

Our national security was not threatened. These guys are lying assholes

All but three (!) of the 1,651 refugees admitted into the United States in the three most recent months we have data are white South Africans. For comparison, in 2024, the U.S. admitted 100,060 refugees. It's an explicit white supremacist project. www.rpc.state.gov/documents/Re...

Micah@rincewind.run

it’s not surprising exactly but it is still shocking just how fast we’ve moved from “woke was excessive” framing to open and explicit white male supremacy

He’s the past president he’s referring to

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

TRUMP: I've spoken to a certain president, who I like actually, a past president, he said, 'I wish I did it.' But they didn't do it. I'm doing it. Q: Which president? TRUMP: I can't tell you that. It would be very bad for his career even though he's got no career left.

"I'm willing to take a not guilty. I'm willing to take a no true bill." What she means is she's willing to bring legally deficient cases that harass innocent defendants, waste her line prosecutors' time, and makes her office look like jerkoffs in front of judges and juries.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

this is beyond parody, folks. a complete mockery of the DOJ.

I think about this everyday and I’m madder and madder.

Farewell to one of the most unqualified and inept presidents that the Ohio State University has ever had. Maybe next time they'll think about academics and qualifications instead of politics when they select their next leader.

I agree completely. I’ve been disappointed my rep, @repbeatty.bsky.social hasn’t don’t more to hold him accountable.

David Ryan Miller@davidryanmiller.com

It's been 65 days since Donald Trump invaded a sovereign state, abducted its leader, and declared the US will "run" the state indefinitely It's been 9 days since Trump launched a war (his word) against Iran without congressional approval No House member has filed articles of impeachment for either

Which Trump would be happy to do. Because then all negotiations would have to go through him, giving him the power he so desperately craves.

I’m convinced planter is a republican, running as a democrat, to troll the Democratic Party. Once he wins, he’ll caucus with republicans and laugh while he drinks liberal tears.

Henry @henrythedog.bsky.social

this is what awaits us if we fail to crush Platner in the primary, "oh the party of Nazi Tattoos has something to say?" every time forever
