I’m not a political journalist, so was gladly surprised at the community I found here last night. To Americans anxious about the upcoming elections, a key thing we learned in Brazil that might help you: DO NOT engage with the far-right online. Don’t share rage bait. Amplify your people. Ignore them.

"Right now, we’re living in Trump’s world, in Vance’s world, in Hegseth’s world. This is what a world without empathy looks like. It’s a world of constant othering, of constant rage, of a constant belief that life is a zero-sum game. But nothing flourishes in that world." — @snipy.bsky.social

all of this has always been about getting back at the uppity women who wouldn’t fuck them
“Palantir cofounder and CEO Alex Karp states ‘AI will undermine the influence of highly educated, often female voters and give it to working class men. We have feminine energy running our cities and our courts,’ he complained.”

I'd like to invite you to read my latest on Substack, in which I discuss the subjectivity of human experience, and how, in knowing we will never understand another's, we can be more compassionate and kind. #philsky #writer cmblack.substack.com/p/walking-in...

“Remember, our goal isn’t simply to defeat evil. It’s to defeat evil in a way that won’t force us to then listen to the people who helped us win.”
"Honestly, if we end up with two hundred and twenty-five seats on the White Council, I would be disappointed. I would rather Sauron keep control of Middle-earth by five seats than have the Fellowship win by five, because then we’d be hostage to the Ents." buff.ly/9WluK1y

The New York Times wrote articles that were like "the impossible-to-characterize elusive politics of Elon Musk / he's lost interest in politics" right before he became *literally the largest GOP donor in history* the next election cycle. Twice. Two times!
This would be the most any person has donated in any election cycle. And #2 is also Musk, in 2024.
