Some companies are quietly adding an “import tax” IN ANTICIPATION of possible future tariffs. That is, tariffs that they don’t currently have to pay to import stuff. Trump hasn’t yet been sworn in and he’s driving up prices.

Absolutely terrifying literacy statistics. Global: 86.3% literate Developed nations: 96%+ U.S.: 79% - 21% of adults are illiterate, and 54% read below a 6th grade level. 20% read below a 5th grade level. Add this into the “how did we get here politically?” calculus.
