Does anyone else think it’s hilariously ironic that the “do your own research” people believe everything Trump & Musk say, even when all evidence shows they’re lying?

I don’t agree with all Abdul El-Sayed’s views, but GOP “othering” is a disgrace. He was born in US, educated at Bloomfield Hills Andover, where he captained football team; Univ of Mich; Oxford as a Rhodes Scholar; Columbia, where he earned an MD. Debate his views, not whether he’s a “real” American.

Marco Rubio is reportedly saying Maduro will stand trial in US courts. Which means it’s now the US administration’s position that US courts can hold foreign presidents, but not the US president, accountable for crimes.

Rubio is claiming that they did not need Congress permission because it was a law enforcement mission. The US is behaving as a global police state, extending its own arbitrary legal decisions to the whole world. This is not a problem just for Venezuela.

ms.nowThe White House’s celebration of the weak job market makes no senseJob growth in the first year of Donald Trump’s second term is on pace to be the worst since the Great Recession. So why is his team bragging?

The Trump admin submitted a sworn declaration under oath that Costa Rica had changed its mind and would no longer take Mr. Abrego. Costa Rica has now said publicly that that this is false, that they have not changed their position at all, and that they will still take him.

Roger Parloff@rparloff.bsky.social

Unpacked: In Aug., Govt said if Abrego pled guilty he could go to Costa Rica, where he's okay with going. Abrego said no to plea. Govt now wants to send him to Liberia. Why not Costa Rica? Govt told judge Thurs that Costa Rica wouldn’t take him anymore. @mariasacchetti exposed them.

They are NOT the majority. They have billionaires who own mainstream and social media, most of the Supreme Court and half of Congress. Yet, they are NOT the majority. This is why they’re always trying to take away your votes. Because they are NOT the majority. They never will be.

A lot of people don’t want to admit Charlie Kirk was racist because they would have to admit they are racist too, and that truth cuts deeper than they can handle. I will not mourn a bigot.

Kamala Harris on The View on election night: "That night -- I grieved in a way that I have not since my mother died. The pain was not at all about losing a race. I knew what it was going to mean for the country ... all I could say over and over was 'my God, my God, my God.' It was very difficult."

“They put poison in the food, it makes us sick.“ The reality here is so fucking boring that it doesn’t stick on anyone’s head. What “they” did was make food cheap and “ultra palatable” which is the fancy phrase for “very yummy.” Thats it. A huge part of the problem is that food is too good.

Some personal news: the Department of Homeland Security has given me, an immigration lawyer born in Newton, Massachusetts, seven days to leave the U.S. Does anyone know if you can get Italian citizenship through great-grandparents?

Are Trump officials still using Signal group chats for communications? If so, why? What other conversations have they had on Signal? Do they always set messages to auto-delete?

Ryan Goodman@rgoodlaw.bsky.social

The Atlantic has now published the Signal texts with attack plans in response to administration denials. I worked at the Pentagon. If information like this is not classified, nothing is. If Hegseth is claiming he declassified this information, he should be shown the door for having done so.
