Shout out to @mattnegrin.bsky.social, an early observer of the Flanaganiac phenomenon

Joan Walsh@joanwalsh.bsky.social

What keeps me sane is getting to profile emerging national leaders, and Minnesota's Peggy Flanagan, Ojibwe and Irish Catholic, is one of the most inspiring. Thanks to @thenation for giving me the time! www.thenation.com/article/poli...

Hegseth in March: “Never before has a modern, capable military, which Iran used to have, been so quickly destroyed and made combat ineffective.” They lied through their teeth. Just straight up fabricated shit.

Christopher Webb@cwebbonline.com

This is crazy work by Alabama Republicans… As the Alabama Senate was being forced into the basement while tornado sirens were going off, the Republican supermajority kept moving, rammed through a cloture vote on redistricting, passed the bill, and adjourned. [video by Sen Merika Coleman]

No Kings No ICE No War

Greg Sargent@gregsargent.bsky.social

Remarkable: The public has rejected *all* the major pillars of America First Trumpism. Majorities oppose: *deportations *tariffs *war with Iran *threats to Canada and Greenland ...while NATO, vaccines, and foreign aid remain broadly popular. Some thoughts on that: newrepublic.com/article/2080...

Replying to @rbreich.bsky.social

We need substantive policy alternatives. I don't see the Dems taking the initiative and getting ahead of the Trumpists with more attractive proposals; e.g., How about a humane budget, or Immigration policy, or a Foreign policy?

You are up to date.
