Start deporting the right people.

Bolsonaro ignored a court order to relinquish his passport and is under criminal investigation for money laundering. I thought this administration was *against* letting criminals into the country. Oh, wait . . . not if they are corrupt, election-denying fascists like the man in the Oval Office.

Very much how I felt as I shambled down the road towards the Sea Witch parade Saturday morning after my long run, being overtaken time and time again by fresh legged revel makers and small children. I just wanted to stretch and shower.

This year for Halloween, I’m going to go dressed as someone who’s tired and simply wants some precedented times.

Stop what you are doing and look at this lovely story. A photography student in the 80s took pictures of punks and mods on the street in Preston. He’s now tracked them down and photographed them again. The pictures and stories are really ❤️ www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

I can not fathom that anyone actually believes that this is about protecting women.

A new survey of 1,000 American adults found that the strongest supporters of transgender sports bans are not the people who admire women most: they are the people who hold the most hostile views about women. www.helenwebberley.com/news/transge...

I have no clue how I wound up on a list that would result in me getting this message, but it made me a lot happier than seeing that several republicans are running unopposed.

No politician is more qualified than a patient or their doctor to make personal medical decisions. The ACLU of Virginia is working around the clock with coalition partners to make sure voters know that passing Question 1 would enshrine these fundamental rights in the Virginia Constitution.

I replaced an over the range microwave with my father approximately 15 years ago. Apparently his memory of this event and mine differ vastly. We shall see today if I am mis-remembering and making a huge mistake in assuming my spouse and I can fairly easily do it ourselves.

Great day yesterday. Hedwig was awesome, and I’m super proud that I was able to squat down for a photo with my favorite butterfly fairy princess despite a rough long run in the morning.

I pressed buttons before adding alt text by mistake… photo 1: photo taken from balcony of stage production is Hedwig and the Angry Inch. Yitzahk is singing front stage left. Hedwig is front and center on a raised stage. The “band” is adoring him and actual band is fully on stage

2nd - middle aged white woman in a pink hoodie crouched w a small child in a butterfly costume with antennae, crown, and magic wand in front of a painted standup of snoopy welcoming The Great Pumpkin. Please note that I crouched down to get on her level but she needed to crouch like Aunt Chrys too.

It’s Hedwig day!! Movie, then off to see the stage show! (Or at least most of it. If I ran faster I would definitely have had time to watch the whole movie)

The fetishisation of "debate" as some sort of grand public good that everyone should do is so thoughtless and jarring to me because the more you actually do it the more it becomes apparent that genuinely constructive debate is actually a pretty niche thing.

Friends, it's Friday. You deserve a little treat. An eel history treat. So enjoy this 12th C. image of a medieval hulk. It may be the earliest illustration of one that we have. But ALSO there's a saucy upside-down eel in the water. And that's the important thing! 🗃️🧪

i think it would be great with the holiday season right around the corner if we skipped the "how to avoid talking about politics with your kooky uncle" articles and got a bunch of more useful "how to talk to older family members about setting a family codeword in case of phishing attempts" articles

I am an idiot. I have known ENTIRELY too many pot heads for it to have taken this long for me to consider weed to help with sleep.

I simply Cannot motivate this week. Tips? Tricks? Unholy rituals To get your butt out the door? tell me what you got, folks.

An hour later, several cord swaps, and a “new” dock later, we are up and running at proper resolution on all screens

And in his next feat of IT-ly spousiness: figure out how the fuck I turned off the WiFi and how to turn it back on

I am going to laugh so hard if some asshat and the “it’s just a joke” fuckers is what gets me back in to the gym. Spite and righteous indignation are powerful motivators

Just saw this described as a “government backed snuff film” and…. Yeah… the current regime continues I take cues from the Handmaids Tale and other dystopian media and history. Can we just…. Fucking not?
