First of all this is racist af. Second of all, it’s wildly untrue. And third of all, a group of people does not need to produce science or literature to be fully human or whatever!!! What is this, 1780??? (This is a topic in my book btw)

RFK: "There's five hundred million Arabs in the world. And yet they don't produce science. They don't win the Nobel Prize. They don't win the Fields Prize. They don't win the Wolf Prize. They don't produce literature."

Last year, I watched a Halloween-appropriate film every day of October. Well, I'm going to try it again this year. It's dark, raining. I have a hot pizza, a warm blankent, and a cat. Let's get spooky. 31 days of #Halloween movies - day 1: #NowWatching #EdgarAllanPoe

31 days of #Halloween movies - day 25. Get it? Because it's a horror film that takes place on Christmas, and it's October 25 and...anyway. #NowWatching #BlackChristmas #1974

My pal Danielle Koenig shared that her father Walter Koenig passed away last night at age 90. A performer whose kindness and warmth shone through the screen. He will be well remembered.

31 days of #Halloween movies - day 23. I know I've been going for older stuff this month. Tonight that'll change. Anyway, here's a 1897 silent short from famed French filmmaker #GeorgeMéliès. I'd watch something longer, but I'm dog tired. #NowWatching #TheBewitchedInn

31 days of #Halloween movies - day 24. My daughter's choice. We've both seen this one, but she REALLY wanted to watch this one over the third. #NowWatching #HotelTransylvania2 #AdamSandler

31 days of #Halloween movies - day 21. Watched a later #Hammer Dracula once. It was...not very good. Hopefully, I like the first way more. #NowWatching #HorrorOfDracula #PeterCushing #ChristopherLee

31 days of #Halloween movies - day 22. This 1910, 16 or so minute film is probably the first screen adaption of #MaryShelley's book. It was made by #ThomasEdison's film studio. I've been wanting to check it out for a LONG time. #NowWatching #Frankenstein #EdisonStudios

31 days of #Halloween movies - day 20. I think I'm going to regret watching this on my own at night, but here I go. #NowWatching #TheChangeling #GeorgeCScott

31 days of #Halloween movies - day 17. Maybe at some point this month I'll watch something from this century. Until then, here's a 1927 silent horror film. #NowWatching #ToddBrowning #LonChaney

31 days of #Halloween movies - day 18. Been in the mood for a lot of 30s and 40s films this October. #NowWatching #LionelAtwill #PrecodeFilm

31 days of #Halloween movies - day 15. I've seen neither the 60s nor the 80s version of this. I'll still probably watch the musical later this month, though. #NowWatching #TheLittleShopOfHorrors #RogerCorman

31 days of #Halloween movies - day 16. The first three of this series always caught my eye when I saw them at Blockbuster as a kid because I never heard anyone talk about them and they featured Walken in the starring role, which is still a rarity. #NowWatching #TheProphecy #ChristopherWalken

31 days of #Halloween movies - day 5. Yes, it's after midnight. I was busy today! 😛😆 Because of the lateness of the hour, another short. #NowWatching

31 days of #Halloween movies - day 3. Only have time for a short during my work break. So, another Disney it is. #NowWatching

31 days of #Halloween movies - day 4. Time to close out the #EvilDead trilogy (which I started last October) by finally watching this. #ArmyOfDarkness #BoomStick #NowWatching

31 days of #Halloween movies - day 2. I'm watching more shorts this year. Since I don't want to rush through a feature before work, I'm trying out this classic #Disney short that I don't think I've seen all of. #NowWatching

I'm not much of a "post selfies" dude, but I liked how I looked today. So, here you go.

It's also finally sweater weather.

Working in retail where I have to lockup these cards to help dissuade theft, I have no sympathy for these scalpers. Even when they are bought, they go almost immediately after being put up. I'm all for a huge supply.

Russell Irving@rginteger.bsky.social

I'm not much of a Pokémon person, but my son is & trying to buy him cards at retail prices has been nigh on impossible the last couple of years, and I refuse to pay scalpers for anything. So it warms the cockles of my heart to see so many of them having a full meltdown about the recent set. Enjoy!!

@moviessilently.bsky.social Hey, would you happen to know if Wallace Beery appears in any of the surviving episodes (1-4, 10) of Patria (1917)? Need footage of him in that for a thing.

@kinolorber.com had a sale on its silents, and I took advantage. Most excited for Robin Hood, Filibus (quoted on the back as "the most exciting, witty, feminist, steampunk, cross-dressing aviation thriller you will ever see"), and the Oscar Micheaux collection. #PhysicalMedia

Dolly Parton one day and Tim Curry the next! The world is being very cruel! RIP to one of the biggest and best personalities and energized performers ever to grace the screen. Been a fan since I was a kid, and I'll remain so until I die! I salute you, Sir. variety.com/2026/film/ob...

Fun fact: Dolly Parton spent decades quietly funding band uniforms and instruments at Black high schools across the South - never once putting her name on it. No headlines, no fanfare — just help, given because it was needed. Wonderful Heart ♥️ RIP Dolly ❤️
