You know when you're learning how to read music notes, online tutorials say to use mnemonics like FACE and All Cows Eat Grass? Don't! That slowed me down later on when my brain defaulted to counting notes rather than doing instant recognition. That habit is hard to unlearn 😮‍💨

Not much progress for this update. 🐌 I went back to work on encounters a bit. Shrunk the mob sprites by 10% for better scale vs the environment. Also spiced up their skills a lil' with some effects and text pop up to make actions easier to follow. #JSDungeon

Started on the first campaign map. Just blocking out the areas and linking stuff together so the graphics are mostly temp art. Won't be showing much to avoid spoilery contents. Also, map now supports pillars! It was a pain to add in due to em not sharing the same coord system as tiles 💀 #JSDungeon

I switched over to a piano app shortly after. Had to keep my eyes at the keys I'm pressing due to lack of tactile feedback. The limited range of keys that comfortably fits on screen is also a bummer. This is as far as I can go I guess! 🎹

A test sketch I drew over the 3D model I made of the Seven Waves Towers. This place is called Colortrail Courtyard.

I bit the bullet and made directional sprites for the chest. Also did a bit of update to the encounter UI. The action meter now looks like two opposing forces clashing instead of all running in the same direction ⚔️ #JSDungeon
