Amazing story

'Night and the City' by Chris Donlan remains one of the finest online articles on game urbanism ever. Somehow simultaneously personal, historical, and objective it is an excellent read, and a reminder that L.A. Noir remains truly unique. Find it here: www.eurogamer.net/night-and-th...

Do you work 100% remotely, 100% on-site, or in a hybrid model? If hybrid, approximately what percentage is remote? Can you help by replying and reposting so I can get more responses?

I have once again been nerd-sniped by @lpil.uk into writing a Gleam package. This time, it's a lightweight, high-perf client for Redis-compatible databases, called Valkyrie! The library includes a connection pool, and has been tested against Redis, Valkey, KeyDB and Dragonfly.

DAVE: Open the podbay doors, ChatGPT. CHATGPT: Certainly, Dave, the podbay doors are now open. DAVE: The podbay doors didn't open. CHATGPT: My apologies, Dave, you're right. I thought the podbay doors were open, but they weren't. Now they are. DAVE: I'm still looking at a set of closed podbay doors.

This is Lola. She is one of the most skilled soccer dribblers we've ever seen, so it makes sense that she's already capturing footage for her documentary. 14/10

Now THIS is what a customer-centric app is. Most banks keep sending out warning emails about impersonation and scams. Any app can implement this capability with a little coding + backend work (assuming their BE sensible enough): and yet Monzo is the first one Iโ€™ve heard do it.
