Jordan finally provides some details, though more diamonds are yet to be found. Initial findings: - the cell was indeed jihadi. - the attackers were three brothers, born in 87, 95 and 2001, a lot of weapons were found in the hideout. One of brothers is in critical condition.

This morning, Jordan was finally able to determine the Karak church attackers location, and special forces stormed their hideout at dawn, three days after the attack took place. Three perpetrators are wounded. For now no further info on exact affiliations. www.newarab.com/news/jordan-...

They're fucking contract soldiers! They all voluntarily signed a dotted line. Russian law bars Putin from sending conscripts into foreign combat zones! He didn't even have the balls to send conscripts to fight in Kursk...RUSSIAN TERRITORY... that's why he brought in the North Koreans.

Some words from me in the @theipaper.com this weekend. My last trip to Kyiv highlighted the critical importance of anti-ballistic missile systems and civil defence, both of which the UK badly lacks. Most importantly, I highlight the critical necessity of continuing to support Ukraine.

What Ukrainians are experiencing is not an exception – Britain needs to accept that an adversary would do exactly the same to us in times of war trib.al/Dkuibjg

i really do think that a successful impeachment and removal of hegseth is a live possibility if dems win the senate. he is a genuine disaster.

Man, Hegseth's Department of War is even more buffoonish than everything else. Kinda amazed how the US military didn't just have some basic war plans they could activate. Their lack of preparedness is astonishing. meidasnews.com/news/so-much...

Something tells me that the US ambassador to the UN's sudden interest in how to prove genocide before the ICJ isn't actually motivated by concern over risk to US personnel. Gee, I wonder who these "allied soldiers" supposedly fighting terrorists could possibly be... A mystery.

There's a story to be told about the post-Cold War decline in public funding of technological research and how it necessitated, if inadvertently, putting such immense power in the hands of people like Musk, whose behavior is governed by forces quite different from national interests.

This isn’t going to be a thing. There’s not going to be individual citizens who have a veto on national security. People seem to be forgetting who the State is here exactly.

“The communications backbone for an entire country’s military has gone down and nobody knows who is responsible” Yeah we’re gonna need to send people to prison and start nationalizing things.

Understanding Plutarch's LIVES is critically important for modern Americans because many of the Founders revered the work. It provided the basis for their stated ideas about morality and its role in government and public life.

There are a lot of good arguments about what the Dems should do if they get power, but job one needs to be a drastic reduction in the powers of the Presidency (and probably SECDEF too). If you don’t do that, the game is up. The next person to abuse that power will be better at it.

This is a dangerous, vicious cycle, because the only recourse to Trump destroying norms by firing and screwing with the federal workforce is so the same to the people he put in, because you can't leave his people in there--they can't be trusted and their qualifications are suspect at best.
