RIP to one of the GOATs, so much stuff would not exist without Chiba and his influence.

Manga artist Tetsuya Chiba, best known for the boxing drama "Ashita no Joe," has died at 87, according to media reports on Tuesday.

“We’ve all seen the pictures, Hasan. That stooge Hulk Hogan gave the big boot to the World Trade Center. It’s right there in the song; ‘when it comes crashing down and it hurts inside.’ That was America.”

I read the Midnight books this weekend and boy did Marvel ever take the wrong lessons from the Absolute line. I like the X-Men one well enough, but even that isn’t a home run. Spider-Man and FF are both kinda bad, but they also feel like editorial told them to keep making it darker.

Midnight Spider-Man is great if you’ve been clamoring for a Spider-Man story where a dead cat is an integral part of his backstory. I don’t know who that person is, but happy reading, weirdo.

Any time I see an ad for coffee on Instagram it’s either called Charred Remains, a blend made with 5% bullets and discounted for veterans, or Simply Whimsy, mushroom coffee hand ground by a lesbian couple.

Bryce Remsburg in an Instagram Story: "Ace of the ring. Ace of the locker room. Mox waited until he knew the camera was not on us and came up behind me and put his hands on my shoulders and said 'This is intense, but we're gonna get through it together.' Proud to play for this team."

Shit like this is why I will never stop talking about what an evil company WWE is. The rot runs deep.

If the Salon article was not written in a way where there are obvious moments of intentional deception, I wouldn't assume WWE involvement. But the paragraphs about AEW-specific problems are full of such obvious intentional bullshit that it's hard for me to look at it any other way.

Pro wrestling is so beautiful. What an absolutely perfect tribute show for Pac. I cried, I laughed, I felt something. I hope everyone on Dynamite knows that they did Pac proud.

CM Punk in a wacky poncho while the world mourns a man everyone in the business loved might be the most on brand thing they’ve done in 10 years.

I 1000% co-sign this thread. Fuck the WWE.

WWE airing a taped show against the Pac tribute show tonight bothers me so much. They’re such a deeply evil company. Even if they do change their mind and move it to another time that doesn’t change the fact that they didn’t immediately say “we shouldn’t counter program the tribute show of a former

They fucked with his visa status and tried to take his livelihood away from him. And now they’re counter programming his memorial show. Disgusting. This is just what they’ve done to one man. This isn’t even talking about the corpses and sexual assault victims they’ve left behind.

WWE is a deeply evil company that treats their employees like garbage. They don’t have the fucking decency to change the time on a YouTube upload. There’s no logistics here to worry about, it’s just changing a number on the screen. I hope the person with the final say on this burns in hell.

Pac is so important to current WWE history. He gave legitimacy to black and gold era NXT. The feud with Sami Zayn made so many people, myself included, start paying attention to that brand. They realized Triple H’s vision and made NXT a success. How Pac was treated after was awful.

They tried to turn him into Mighty Mouse. He felt so disrespected that he went home. When he was finally able to work again and came to AEW his friends in WWE had to sneak out of their hotels to see him. Think about that. These are grown adults and their job is making them act like children.

employee that was universally beloved.” If I was on that roster and I had any connection to Pac I wouldn’t stop making calls and texts until either that show got moved or I was fired. The absolute shame I would feel if I was on that show airing against the Pac tribute.
