Much easier for the media to lock in on faux Cheesecake Factory outrage than a House Dem report indicating Todd Blanche basically told Ghislaine Maxwell "stop talking" when she was about to discuss a girl that could more closely tie Trump to Epstein

no surprise: Gitlin has been on the Tesla beat for long enough to know how to actually cover an event like this

This should be the lead story with a screaming headline on every news website: “Trump sides with Putin in Ukraine war.” “After a long, friendly chat during which Putin offered Trump a political lifeline, Trump called for Ukraine to surrender.”

Trump has picked a side in the Russia Ukraine war. News organizations should make that clear. And every single Republican running for office should be forced to answer whether they, too, support Russia, and how much of Ukraine Russia should be allowed to rule.

Houthis just filmed a warehouse full of US-made armor they took off Saudi-backed forces after Mocha fell. Shot on an iPhone. Such a damaging image! The coalition’s decade-long war in Yemen is ending in captured American equipment & open humiliation.

I'm sorry but it's clearly newsworthy that the President's decisions are being unduly influenced by a mentally unstable obsessive no one voted for who has attached themselves to him in an effort to live out weird fantasies they've had for decades. Something has to be done about Stephen Miller.

As you look at these comparisons, remember that Natalie Harp is just 9 years younger than Ivanka (35 and 44). And remember that Ivanka played this role in Trump 1.0.

The reason the White House is so sensitive about Trump and his relationship with Natalie Harp is because, well . . . because it's a bit awkward

Susan Collins pulls into town in a bus full of her supporters; then they all get off the bus; and then she addresses the folks who were on the bus with her as if they were regular Mainers; and legacy media covers this, pretending it isn't deeply bizarre. (Notice the guys with cameras.) #MEpolitics

We’re all getting screwed—Democrats and Republicans alike. The billionaires who run this country don’t care about your politics, they only care about their profits. They don’t see Red or Blue—they see Green. They see us as one opposing team. So we might as well act like one.

It has been legally adjudicated that Trump is a rapist. His first wife accused him of rape in divorce filings. He was caught on tape bragging about sexual assault. So we know was Republicans do with someone credibly accused of rape: They give him their utter devotion.

The silent agreement between the parties is to avoid actual issues that have supermajority consensus among voters and instead fight over wealth class-backed, think-tank designed wedge issues while corporate media communicates a 50/50 split, a need for moderation, and paints leftists as dangerous.

The effective federal corporate income tax rate: 1950: 50% 1990: 25% 2020: 13% Stop asking "but how we will pay for it?" Restore the corporate tax rate. That is how we will pay for it.

Bold move on the right, attacking German ancestry (45 million Americans in 2020) and Irish ancestry (38.6 million in 2020) and opposition to slavery, too! Helpful, though. Neatly encapsulates what the term "heritage Americans" is all about.

It's noteworthy that the sticking point in getting Todd Blanche confirmed as AG involves financial corruption rather than Blanche refusing to release files about the sex trafficking of children by Trump's former friend. To Republicans, money is always more important than the welfare of children.
