i've followed this saga closely for years, so here's my 2 cents: 1. aaron/bsky aren't transphobic 2. a subgroup of trans folks + "allies" have habitually behaved anti-socially/toxically, targeting aaron for years, thus the high block rate 3. bsky is the best public network for trans people atm

One criticism does hold “entirely opt-in” does not accurately describe imported lists. People could be blocked without a new direct interaction. Keep that finding. It does not rescue the audit’s claim to compare people whose relevant conduct was the same.

More than 85% of recovered blocks came from imported lists before the public bot announcement. When the audit looks at the live bot alone, the sample is too small to settle the question. The big headline combines that bot with the imported lists.

The audit’s “everyone else” category mixes different profile groups. Its all-year comparison also adds hundreds of older unblocked accounts. Both choices affect the result. A profile label does not establish whether that person joined the harassment.

We matched 13 of Aaron’s 50 published examples to public sources. Ten came before blocks; eight were outside the scored replies and quotes. Some targeted him by his job title rather than his name. Not finding his name does not mean there was no abuse.

We ran the named classifier ourselves. “Enjoy the camps Aaron” and “She was barely legal, Aaron” both scored in its lowest band. Those phrases need their actual context. A tiny number is not a clean bill of health.

People posted sexual accusations about Aaron Rodericks, wished him harm, and encouraged others to tell the head of Trust & Safety to kill himself. We verified posts published before their authors’ blocks. That context belongs at the centre of this discussion.

The initial lists considered posts across Bluesky. The audit’s behavior score covered replies and quotes directed at Aaron. Abuse posted elsewhere was left out of that comparison. Two accounts can have the same score while having very different conduct.

This audit does not establish anti trans discrimination. It treats people as though they behaved alike while leaving documented harassment out of the comparison. Blocking someone for abuse and blocking them for being trans are different claims. The audit cannot tell them apart!

A strange autistic trans woman has been teaching text elementals to build software, review each other's work, and operate the apps they make. The result is Peritus. It's open source. You can have it.

Doll@dollspace.gay

Peritus v0.0.7 is out today. Your coding agent can now operate browser pages and Linux desktop apps, using screenshots and persistent sessions to exercise what it builds using the real testing skill. MIT licensed. Come try it github.com/Corvidae-Cod...

You are up to date.
