42 years ago tonight, the 'Bronco Blizzard' created one of the most iconic games in Broncos history. 4" of snow covered the field at the start of the game and heavy snow fell throughout, and the Broncos won 17-14 thanks to 2 defensive first half touchdowns (both fumble returns)! #COwx

Potentially dangerous heat will impact Southern California again today due to a strong High pressure system in upper atmosphere and an offshore low-level flow. Extreme heat is forecast to continue into next week. Stay safe and hydrated. Forecast Highs: Downtown LA 103° Long Beach 101° IE and OC:

I think it's fair to call this Colorado's biggest stratiform (steady, non-thunderstorm) rain event since at least May 2023.

Chris Bianchi@bianchiweather.bsky.social

Takeaways for this week: -Drought-busting rain likely for much of southeastern Colorado, 2-4"+ rain potential -Denver: bigger question, but 1-3" of metro area rain in play (mainly Wed.) -Significant San Juans/Sangre/Elks snow above 10-11k feet, 6"+ possible Tue/Wed #COwx

Today’s Fall Equinox at 8:05 pm ET marks the start of astronomical fall in the N. Hemisphere and is when the Sun is directly over Earth’s equator. Now through the Winter Solstice, the Northern Hemisphere will receive less ad less direct sunlight as Earth continues along its tilted orbit.
