I bought way too many games in 2025: 217 in total, 41 on GOG, 176 Steam or Steam keys. Can't pass up a good deal, I sent 530 EUR, saved 3330 EUR, avg 86% off. That's 44 EUR per month, pretty reasonable hobby. Still, I should really buy less and play more.

2025 was a good year for running, managed to get 620 km in. This was probably my most consistent year to date. 1250 km including the cycling season and random hiking.

Streets of Rage 4 is awesome. My favorite character so far is Cherry Hunter. Whoever designed her must be a fan of Gazelle's Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon. Those dash punches into groups of baddies never get old, so satisfying!

The Valve hardware seems great. Glad I didn't bought a Meta Quest yet. Looks like the Frame will do all that without the Zuckerbitch baggage. The party piece will be the openness, Valve doesn't fights its customers and their use cases, so emulation, 3D movies, anything goes ... a major value add.

I found an old document scanner in the basement, Canon something something from 2003, before throwing it away I hooked it up and ... holy beep, it's still working and was supported by Linux out of the box. Well, guess I have a scanner now :D

RIP Drew Struzan - a man whose talent and imagination etched onto so many minds throughout the last 40+ years. His art & posters are some of the first visuals I think of when I think about cinema - an invitation to watch these stories and worlds. A massive loss 💔

The second season of Wednesday was also amazing. I loved every second of it. The whole show is oozing creativity with perfect delivery and the whole cast is killing it. Props to all involved.

Just finished "Return to Monkey Island", delightful point'n'click adventure, definitely a worthy entry to the series. The puzzles were very do-able ... even while drunk on grog ;)

I was always curious about leverless controllers, picked up the HAUTE42 S16-C for 38 EUR incl. shipping via AliExpress, the Kailh Crystal switches are excellent, kinda like a low profile MX Red, the Pi RP2024 got its own web-server for custom profiles, I might add a WASD layout for my notebook. 9/10

Level 24, my reading comprehension is pretty good now. The other day I managed to read a whole chapter without getting stuck on a single kanji. That felt really good. I also started to think in Japanese while reading, the translation training wheels are coming off :D

I sold my soul to JPop (のっちしか勝たん), but man, KPop Demon Hunters is pure magic, the hype is real and well deserved :')
