On this day 21 years ago, the Chicago White Sox won the World Series.

Give me the huddling masses Not a government loaded with asses We strive for all folks to be free While they buy all their votes for a fee We're all the same, black, white or brown It's orange that makes you a clown Let's all pledge to help the most needy I'm so fucking sick of the greedy #vote

Happy 105th birthday to the Chicago Theatre

Nothing and no one should stand between New Yorkers and their right to vote — least of all the government.
Early voting is happening now through November 1. Election Day is November 3. See you at the polls!

For more than 50 years, the Labor Council for Latin American Advancement (LCLAA) has championed a proud tradition of labor organizing, amplified Latino voices within the AFL-CIO, and united workers in the fight for dignity, collective power and solidarity.

Perfect.

Chicago in Color. This morning's start in Lincoln Park.

In 1972, a group of Harlem Renaissance cultural icons gathered at Duke Ellington's house. The afternoon was captured on 16mm film by William Greaves, but the footage remained unedited in a vault for 50 years until David Greaves restored his father's project, releasing the documentary it 2026.

There's a tiny, rocky beach on Maui where sea turtles come up to bask/rest regularly. So, of course, I took a time-lapse of 12 hours to see them come and go. Special thanks to the homeowner who gave me permission to do so. #marinelife #nature #love #maui #nokings #turtles #honu #'ohana #herps

Beautifully done!

I joined Council Member Amanda Farías, advocates and survivors for an important conversation about how we can build a safer city for all New Yorkers, on our streets and in our homes.

This photo is upside-down! It's a train trestle over a river, but I only took a pic of the reflection below the waterline and then rotated 180°. On the upper left you are seeing the leaves and the rocks on the bank of the river. #photography #fall #nokings #pnw

This week, I was blessed to join Hindu New Yorkers in Queens celebrating Navratri, Durga Puja, Dashain, and Vijayadashami.  We danced garba, performed aarti, witnessed Sindoor Khela, and honored the Goddess Durga.
