Here’s something you should know about minks: They have lungs and airways remarkably similar on a cellular level to those of people. They’ve spread flus and infected humans before with COVID-19. Right now, bird flu is spreading on a Utah farm filled with thousands of them… 🧵

Three years ago, my dad said that all fish are the same shape. Out of spite, I decided to draw all 478 families of bony fish listed in Nelson 2016. There's still some stuff I need to edit and some fish I want to redraw but, after 985 days, I finished my big dumb fish project last night.

Went on a city photography trip yesterday with some (new) friends. Tons of fun. Especially combining both traditional shots and using the Game Boy Camera.

Just realized that it's a bit over three years ago that I was on Twitch playing this ambient bass guitar session, completely improvised. youtu.be/7CyBSWfPA5U?... What do you think? Should I cut a few singles from the performance and release them with the complete session as an album?

#NowPlaying 🎧 Distance over Time by Dream Theater 2019 The only Dream Theater album I didn't buy. I was so disappointed by the production and especially the drum sound that I didn't bother buying this one.

70 percent of the internet was vulnerable yesterday to very bad security flaws inside a coding language. Turns out, *one volunteer* is mostly responsible for maintaining that code & helping push updates. Yesterday Ondřej Surý saved the internet. So I called him up www.theatlantic.com/technology/2...

#NowPlaying 🎧 HOPE by The Flower Kings 2026 New release by one of the most prolific progressive rock bands on the globe. Playing the surround mix on Apple Music today. This is the first time I've heard a Flower Kings album in surround if I remember correctly. I only own CDs and vinyl.

Just read that the band used music that was written for a second Anderson/Stolt album that didn't happen in the end. I'm guessing they used some of it in the 30-minute track The Gods of Rome because I hear some parallels. Overall I'm really enjoying the album. Their best one since "Islands", imho.
